I won't argue that with you at all, I still think he's a top CB in next years class. I will also agree there are better ones out there that Saban could get now idk why he doesn't.

No it's not at all I'd like to see them switch it up but it's working for them and playoffs isn't the time to try. I wanna see him against the WR's from Clay-Chalkville I think they may force more man coverage.

With our recruiting budget, facilities, fan-base, tradition a winning coach who can assemble a good recruiting staff will have NO problems getting top 10 classes to TN.

This is a big misconception about our program.

Dooley has absolutley no history of winning, our program has been in turmoil and in the dumpster winning wise and he has landed 3 top 20 classes.

We hire a Gary Patterson (over 100 wins, big name) and give him a good recruiting staff...we will sky rocket.

His Texas connections and a good staff that already knows the southeast it could work out well.

Whomever is hired as the new coach, they will recruit well if nothing other than everything is in place to attract recruits-from facilities, the budget, and tradition.

The key will be hiring a staff that can recruit by the rules, evaluating talent, and closing the recruits' parents.

Cam newton and Nick Fairley won auburn a national title both juco guys

And pair his db recruits with him being the best DB coach maybe besides pete carrol. You get

I just dont get the Patterson talk. Who has he beaten? The best win on his resume is Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl. He has a horrible record against the big boys like Oklahoma, Texas, Ok St etc.

If he were such a top coach one of the top schools that have been open the past few years would have thrown the money at him. Hes another mediocre coach that feeds off of a pathetic schedule and loses against real teams.

Serious??? They didn't play Florida or SCAR. Two top quality opponents. You can argue about the offenses not being great but they would challenge Bama in the trenches just like they both did to LSU. I don't care about FSU. I'm talking Bama and that soft schedule. And that defense isn't better than LSU or Florida's units.

Kareem Jackson = system player

Mark Baron plays safety not CB the position I stated

Dre Kirkpatrick is garbage and it'll show if he ever plays as a pro

Dequan Menzie is a juco guy, I liked him a lot

Geno Smith was one I liked that he pulled last year but he hasn't pulled a bunch of real top notch CBs that can cover from the HS level. He addresses CB more out of juco than most think. He brings 1 or 2 a year it seems. LSU recruits the position better IMO.

I do feel Saban has to guys at WR(Chris Jones and Cyrus Jones) that would be great CBs.

If bama played:
Uga, FL, SC all three would be toss ups. Bama would probably beat SC but who knows

And Kareem Jackson is Houston's #2 and got an INT last night

What does it matter if you are recruiting juco guys or hs school guys??? I don't understand.

That's also my only concern, which is why we HAVE to get Gruden or Strong. The two best recruiters (one on NFL success, the other a proven recruiter) we have as candidates.

I don't buy that really. Anyone can recruit at UT.

We are getting top 20 classes the past 4 years and we have sucked.

Anyone who is winning can recruit here, easilly
