Whatever it is they are offering, and I haven't heard actualfigures from anyone I truly believe, is unprecedented when it comes to UT Sports and NCAA football. I have heard the term unprecedented so many times. I don't think Gruden can walk away from it. It is obvious he is looking for big money and long term, he doesn't seem he wants this job to be a stepping stone back to the NFL as some have said imo, I think he sees it as a job and program he can retire from.

OHS had an interim coach. That's much different. Name me one school that had a coach signed in writing before the full time head coach was officially hired?

Ok all you grudenites,you talk big but give no good reason why gruden would be a good hire for Tennessee. Yes he won a super bowl,with Dungys players. But failed miserably till he was fired after that. Hasn't been a head coach of any ncaa team. So he's untested at the college level. And please,it's great his wife is a VFL, but really that has NO bearing on his coaching ability.NO proof he can recruit or put together a winning staff. So please let us in on why he's such a great hire.

People thinking he would be using us as a stepping stone back to the NFL is just dumb. He doesn't need that period. He could get any job he wanted in the NFL right now. If its true, I love the fact he wants a long term with us.

I have proven some of my contacts to those of you who were on here a few days ago. I heard the same thing that OCI and SBV has heard. So with that being said, i have no reason to question things. Just let things play out instead of gettin mad. Everything will come out. If it turns out we are wrong, i, like OCI will never post on here again. If we turn out being right like i completely believe we are then guess what?? John gruden is our coach. I post this because i see that some question credibility of some of the posters. If i have proven cred then i am quite sure the others due as well, especially with how accurate they have been in the past. Just take a step back and chill peeps. We got carolina sat. Oh, and the players will not leave, John Gruden is all they need to hear and see because it guarantees The NFL for most the roster. With JG as our coach we will be nationally televised for most our games meaning scouts will be everywhere. Pro days every scout possible will be there for us because JG has every contact.

This is the niche he has carved out for himself in this market. Not that what he has been saying about Dooley isn't true. He has been much more conservative on the Gruden talk today-except for saying that an agreement would be in place prior to Dooley being fired so the program could seamlessly move from one to the other....which actually matches what has been reported here by Boro, OCI, SBV, etc. TB just doesn't act like an offer has been made, but I don't know if even he has the cojones to report that on the radio with a coach still in his seat.

I'm gonna say this and it isn't meant as negativity. I believe it's highly likely this season turns into one of our worst ever because of all of this. Gruden is about the only prize at the end that would ease the pain of another WY/KY type loss.
