Does anyone still believe Dooley is fired after the South Carolina game? As long as we lose of course...
The famous Hogville duck predicted that Tenner fans would all go quiet today and be proven wrong and then there is also this gem from a very intelligent pig posted only hours ago....
Here are my thoughts today. If Gruden is in fact a DONE DEAL, there is no reason to wait to dismiss Dooley once the SC game is over. It should be done on Monday at the latest and Gruden announced as soon as possible after that. UT should not put it off even to save a million or a few from the buyout. That is a drop in the bucket compared to what it is rumored a Gruden deal would be. Why would you risk Gruden changing his mind and losing him over a million bucks or so--when his contract would be in the 10s and 10s of millions?
So, if Dooley is not dismissed by next Monday, I am going to believe that Gruden might be interested, but has not agreed yet.
I said this in jest a few days ago in another thread-but I do not want players like Tiny or AJ to leave. It would be a shame, and I just hope they can have an open mind if Dooley is shown the door-especially if Gruden is the replacement.
Yes, I believe that COULD happen. We fired both Phil and Johnny after the South Carolina game. They both coached the final 3-4 games after a formal announcement that they would not return for the following season.
Will that happen? I don't know Hart well enough to say. If South Carolina wins 52-10, yeah I think he might pull the trigger. If South Carolina wins 24-23, I think he waits.
Either way, I do think Dools will be fired.
All imho without any sources whatsoever
They will have open minds. They are mature and handling it the way player/coach relationship should be handled, and will support who is next. .
I mentioned this in an earlier post. If Gruden is indeed a done deal, Hart needs to hand Dooley his $5 million check right after the clock reads 00:00, thank him for his services, and send him packing. Why would you risk Gruden changing his mind by letting a lame duck coach hang around.
Fire Dooley and SIGN Gruden as soon as possible.
Its a bad idea to dismiss a coach mid-season under any circumstances other than if he wrecks a motorcycle with a hottie on the backGet a MOU with Gruden, let him work on getting a staff together, let the season play out and you'll get the current staff on board with supporting an orderly transition. THE LAST THINK THIS PROGRAM NEEDS IS ANOTHER TRAIN WRECK.:lolabove:
