Some of you saying "bye" to players that support their coach or try to make a stand until their coach is gone are off base. Why in the world would it be a bad thing for a kid who signed with Dooley to support him.

Well, say goodbye to Tiny, AJ, James and others. I think that outlook by fans is petty and weak, regardless of who you want to be coach next year.

I did not say that FTR.

It's not that cut and dry. You lose depth and experience that cannot be replaced with one class of freshmen. Losing 30 players would be devastating to any program.

That being said....it won't happen.

Well, I, for one am of the opinion that a "whiff of cologne" will be all that is needed...them boys will be saying "Dooley who?"

They probably won't leave once Gruden gets here. Don't worry about it.

Tiny and AJ love Dooley that much that they would transfer? And all Tiny has to do is play one more year here so he can go pro and get picked in the top 15 of the draft-and he would potentially jeopardize that by sitting out a year, or going to an FCS school?

What Hubbs said changed my mind completely, I really think gruden will be here.

And what he said was ............. what exactly?

No one will post what he said.

Hubbs is told only what the AD wants him to know or when it's in their best interest.

Well stated Sparty! Regardless who the coach is next year, we need all the talent that we can get on the field.

Hubbs said they were going after Gruden but he doesn't believe it's anywhere near a done deal.

Or something like that.

I have zero anger, especially for someone I have never met. I find entertainment in your posts and the certainty in them despite your track record. You might be right, and I will gladly admit it and give you credit. Until then, I choose to take them for what they are worth. and keep flapping my jaws incoherently.
I fixed your post.

Not saying you are supporting him.
I may have misunderstood your post.
What I got from it was you were saying that saban is an ass that wins and players are loyal to him for the winning. Dooley doesn't win and is an ass. So, players will be loyal to him for being an ass?
Yes you misunderstood. I meant to convey that players will respect/and be loyal to an ass "if" they are winning. Conversely I would add that players will also show disrespect to coaches who are "great guys" and losers as well.

He basically said there's a chance of Gruden coming, the media is changing what they say from he's not coming to there's a chance.

Nothing wrong with supporting your coach.

It comes down to an individual deciding whats best for themselves in the end regardless of what life throws at them.

I think it would be foolish of me (if I were a player) to leave a top notch program because of some administrative changes.

Saying Im gone because I have a new boss this week would be shooting myself in the foot.

These same guys, if they made it pro, would they walk out if they got traded or had a coaching change in the NFL?

I think not, or they may only last a few seconds up there...

I know these kids will be emotional, and they have every right to be, but I am sure the first thing a new coach will do is to sit down with leaders like Tiny and AJ to try and calm them down.

And part of me wonders if the number is as large as 30 because some players enjoy running the asylum, and know those days will be over with a new coach.

Im too lazy to scroll through it all, what did Hubbs say?

In a nut shell. Said he doesn't believe anything happens before season is over. Said he has even told Gruden has talked to some of his Tennesssee friends about the position. Said he is putting a staff together. No one knows if its foe the NFL or college game. Hart hasn't avoided Dooley an was at practice today. Still evaluating program.

Players leaving are the least of my worries b/c once Gruden gets here, they will have a change of heart..I know I would if i was considering leaving.
