Our Oline is great at pass blocking, we made Jarvis Jones non existant.

not worried about a DE (Even though he is great)

Lol are you serious.... UT altered their gameplan just bc of him. On passing downs, UT would have a RB or TE chip him right off the line just to slow him down. The kid still finished with 9 tackles. Just because he didn't have 2 sacks, doesn't mean he was non-existant.

Oh no!!! Please don't report me!!! /Sarcasm Grow up.

Didn't realize predicting how many fans of a certain team in a stadium in the future can be considered a fact. It's an opinion. You're bitter. Now that you're bitter, you'll continue to complain and be negative. The act is old

A prediction is a fact?

He didn't have a sack, and we ran all over them.

How did effect our offense again?

Zasnow reported in the football forum that it is expected that Conklin will start playing a larger role in play calling and personel decisions

The running game was great, your right. But what happened on the last 3 possessions on the UT offense, at least had a little to do with him. I'm just disagreeing that he was non existent.

That's interesting, if true. I don't know much of his defenses at Citadel. Anybody have any insight?

If I remember correctly, Citadel was statistically in the top 2 or 3 in defense in their conference... but that may be a little misleading based on the competition.

I wasn't talking about my opinion on the Bama turnout.

u mad I reported u?

I think I clearly illustrated that I couldn't care less. Are you going to keep hiding behind the sophomoric "u mad" noise?

You want Dooley out. We all get it. Again, the act is old.

The rest of their Dline are not good pass rushers. so that give us oppurtunitys for double teams, and shading with a RB.

Im sure he will get a sack or 2, but I do not think he will totally disrupt our offense IMO

I hope you're right, but they have the best d-line I've seen this year. Our O-line is very good but they'll have their hands full a week from Saturday.

Actually, Conklin coaches safeties so this would be on defense

If our defense improves even modestly to where we hold teams under 400 yards and 30 points, we can win a lot games to finish out the season. Our O-Line is rocking. It's clear Patterson and Pig will be touching the ball a lot going forward, etc. Bray is solid as ever.

People who have bailed on this team after losses to three of the top 12 teams in the BCS are fools.

Zasnow just posted this in the FF

Everyone expect Conkley's role to increase more and more. This includes everything from personnel changes to calling plays.

Coach Dooley brought him in as a backup DC to an extent in case the current didnt go as accordingly.

Also multiple boosters (higher end for the most part) have met/talked about paying for Dooleys and maybe some assistants buyouts if things don't change. I'm not saying his job is safe but then again I'm not saying it isn't.

Dooley is Harts man but he won't stand for this and after their plane ride home from Miss St he understands that clearly now.

We have improved in very facet of the game.

This is very much up for debate

We consistently compete and are in position to win against teams with superior talent.

MSU did not have superior talent. Florida has more talent in the 2 deep, but I would argue that our starters are equal. I would also say that they don't have near as much talent on their offense as we do.

We have beat every team we should beat (minus UK). I don't make excuses for that.

We should have beaten MSU for sure.

We have discipline and heart throughout the team that hasn't been in our program in a long, long time.

I will agree with the heart. I love the fight in this team. Discipline, to me, means playing your assignment to perfection every play and not letting the moment get to you. We don't have an overwhelming amount of discipline imo.

We have laid a good foundation for the future. Top 15 classes despite being a dumpster fire of a program with no instate talent to speak of.

I agree with every part of this paragraph I go out of my way to tout Dooley's success in this particular area of building a team.

All the signs of true progress are there if you are willing to step away from our own disappointment as UT fans for the past decade. Things are going in the right direction on every front. Firing the coach that has turned this program around both in spirit and in talent based upon literally a couple select plays in which our players (especially our all everything players) which did not make plays is just moronic. If we do so, we deserve everything we have coming to us as a fanbase.

I buy that we are pointing in the right direction. I don't buy that Dooley has what it takes as a coach to get us over the hump and to consistently compete with the elite in the SEC. He has been the perfect coach to build the foundation of depth, talent, and character, but I think we would be better served to go out and get a better gameday coach now that the base is built up. Just my opinions.

That's interesting, if true. I don't know much of his defenses at Citadel. Anybody have any insight?

one of my best friends here played LB there so I get info from him and Citadel doesnt traditionally recruit as well as the rest of their conference and competition so typically their coaches go out there with less talent than who they match up against (esp App state) - so having good #s there are legit #s

I know it is a different level and it is a military school so its arguable the intelligence, age, and discipline level are vastly different than what you would experience with UT

but I think the guy is a talented guy and a good playcaller and worth a shot - he got the DC job at Citadel at a very young age and could become a rising star after his time at UT (assuming we can start to stop someone)
