No denying Dooley can recruit, I think it's the on field product most Vol fans are upset w/.

My only concern w/ Dooley is the on field product, every other part of the program I give him an A so far.

The product on the field is the best it's been since Dooley's been here IMO.

In all honesty, wouldn't you have been pleased with a W over Georgia, or MSU?

I know it's a broken record, but I keep looking at it like this..We were in position to win both of those games..players just didn't step up and make big time plays when it counted.

But somehow DD was the one who fumbled on both final drives

Of course, I predicted us to beat Florida & Miss. State.

The product on the field & talent has improved over the past 2 1/2 years, no doubt. My concerns are that we are still seeing the simple mistakes in year 3 that were going on in year 1.

And the pass that hit CP in the hands for 6..and the one rajion dropped on one of those final drives, would have been a first down, led to a turnover. DY's fumble. Rivera decided to let that ball drop in front of him for no apparent reason..all Dooley's fault.

Its pretty obvious FL is A LOT better than ppl first thought.

We are about the same as all the experts predicted (8-4) or (7-5)

I think UF has proven they are legit. Saying we should have beaten UGA is more reasonable.

And on the same token save your crap. Fans have the right to voice their displeasure. So for those of you high and mighty who weather all the storms, stuff it. You can accept mediocrity all you want but the rest of us prefer to root for a team worth a damn.

The point when completely over your head. And, that's ok. I'll break it down to you. Whether you're upset or not, realize that these players are giving their all each and every wk for your entertainment. Leaving the stadium, booing, etc... should never be the case.

If your problem lies with Dooley then let his boss do his job at the end of the year. Realize that our 'fans' are hurting our program by griping and complaining when at the end of the day we still have to recruit and bring in better players. Players listen and take notice to the empty stadiums and comments on this board more than most realize. Gruden or any other coach potentially brought in won't tackle or cover anyone last I checked. Well, I take that back Woody Hayes.

We've had a problem with defense for several years and this yr our problems are just magnified bc in addition to not having the athletes across the board on the backend & we r learning a new scheme.

If nothing else, I once was able to say that we had the most loyal fans in the country. Like Saban said when he came in fans need to do their job (be fans and cheer), players need to do their job and play and coaches need to do their job and coach. It's simple.

We were up 20-13, w/ the ball on the + of the field w/ 3:00 to go in the 3rd quarter & had Florida on the ropes. That game was just as winnable as any other game we have played. They made the plays to win the game in the 4th quarter, we fell apart.

You cant say that is a "bad loss" giving how good they have turned out

Yep.

The problem is our irrational fanbase blames that on Dooley and company instead of the players. They were in position to win. That is all you ask from the coach.
