'13 JUCO DT Toby Johnson

LOL at the AJC playing the conspiracy theory game with CP-Staley. Hard for them to imagine a player turning down Georgia. UT knew of him in HS and was after him from day one, so it had nothing to do with the years we have been recruiting CP up until Signing Day or Worley.

This will come up again when/if we get Johnson this year. There are a lot of connections that UT has to Johnson with having Bradley and Campbell already committed here but they will still see it as conspiracy if UT gets him.

This is one I am not worried about. I have seen this kid 3 different times around Hutchinson and once in Pratt. All 4 times he was sporting the same UT hat.

Conspiracy theory? It is a legitimate question about the connection between Staley and CP.

What about it? You tell me? His coach joined our staff in March. Did UGA hire any HS coaches from Columbus, GA? Correction Grayson.

I think DD would admit freely that he chose a qualified coach with excellent connections to a particular pipeline of recruits. Not sure why that's a big deal. He'd be foolish to not consider recruiting connections when making hires.

That's my whole point. It was a very smart decision by CDD but some of your fans get upset when the hiring of this coach is brought up.

Yep, as a recruiting coordinator. That really helped us out with the players from Grayson, they're all headed to Clemson.

Still enough time for your recruiting coordinator to recruit. We need to catch up with Georgia and others in the Conference, as they seem to have wrote the book on packaged deals.

UGA insider

I grew up in Atlanta and went to first Braves game in 1969. No way a true Braves fan would also be a fan of the Dodgers enough to put as one of three faves on a board. You must reconsider unless your dad played for them or something like that. After all those Braves/Dodgers battles, it sorta makes my stomach sick.

Now back to TJ

I get that a lot.

I was born on the West coast and grew up a HUGE Dodger fan. Moved to Atlanta in the Summer of 94 when I was 13 and fell in love with everything about this city, including the Braves. I still pull for both teams.

Back to TJ, he needs to be a Dawg.

Top 15 still isn't good enough to win the SEC. Period. I don't care what anyone says. Especially with the coaching staff we have.

We're not going to out-coach anyone of significance, and we can't out-talent anyone of significance.

USCjr is basically a top 15 class program every year. So it's either coaching them up or simply a top 15 class is good enough to compete. I believe it's a combo of both. Top 15 classes shouldn't be blown out on the field compared to top 5 classes IMO. So, we either have some players that were misses (by multiple staffs) or they haven't been coached to their ability, as you suggested.

IMO it's a combination of both. Consistent top 15 classes are good enough to compete & win in the SEC.
