Want To Know What's Really Embarrassing?

In a game that can easily be called Dooley's 2nd ever respectable loss to a ranked team (other was 2010 LSU) we still gave up a god-awful number of points and yards.

There are still a lot of glaring issues with this team that need to be hemmed up. The fact we didn't quit is embarrassingly an improvement for this squad.

Yay. Moral victories.

I can frame an argument for progress as much as the the nega's can frame an argument for Dooley to be fired.

Hart is only looking for progress this year because he knows how crippling staff turnovers can be.

If I gave you my address would you promise to show up? You are a sad excuse for a fan. Not a "real fan" post but **** can you find anything positive to say? Ever!

You're the 3rd person that has extended an offer to fight me in the last week. Yet I'm the one who is a sad excuse?

Bear Bryant:

1958 Alabama- 5-5 record 3-5 in the sec.
1959 Alabama- 7-4 record 4-3 in the sec.
1960 Alabama- 8-3 record 5-2 In the sec.
1961 Alabama- 11-0 Record 7-0 in the sec.

Would y'all call for his head?

Upsets happen all the time. He could
Win the next 3 and he would still be 3-19.

You want to defend that record?

Are you freaking serious or just trolling. He could beat Miss St., Bama, and USCjr. and you STILL would want to fire him......

Who said fight? You said fight. Sure if you wanna. I was going to offer you a refreshing beverage.

It is sad that so many support such awful results.

Supporting and not blathering aren't the same thing.

IF he's 3-5 after the next 4 weeks then I believe it will be time to go ahead and make the change. Name an interim and start your search. Once a replacement is found they will have time to start recruiting and build on the relationships that have been established. They may even be able to tell recruits which coaches will be kept.

I WILL NOT start calling for it unless recruiting has already fallen apart though. UT simply cannot afford a bad recruiting class this year if we are to hope for a championship caliber team in the next 3 years.

No. I would gladly defend a 3-2 record vs ranked opponents in 2012 though. That WOULD indicate a program headed in the right direction. It will require that the D is heading in the right direction.

The last two years can be EASILY explained with REASONS and not excuses. He took over a program in terrible condition. You can't strip the context and make a rational judgment.

Really? You really are suggesting that if we won the next three people would still want him gone? So, nothing less than '39 without the bowl loss would satisfy?

People will start pumping how Dooley had to endure roster layoffs and other problems that he had no control over then and still, somehow, has no control over in his 3rd year. Or wait... is this his 2nd 1st year? I'm confused about when we can start holding Dooley accountable.
This year belongs to Dooley. The roster problems were a reason for the first two years. By year 3, you own it.

But anyway, Saban endured roster problems also. Quite a few of the relics from Franchione/Shula were undisciplined and lazy. Quite a few were kicked off the team. Saban just did a better job recruiting than Dooley is to this point. Also, winning games does a lot to distract from other issues. .

It is absolutely ridiculous to make a comparison between the roster Saban inherited and the one Dooley inherited. Bama's was superior and it isn't close. He STILL had a bad year and lost to ULM. Saban has gotten better players. He also started from a much more favorable position.

Yet, UT did know these things when they hired Dooley. You know what stat you are not putting in there? No one else wanted the job. I don't know why people can't understand that. We took the best coach that would take the job. Tradition be damned. That is the state of UT football three years ago. Who knows if he is the right guy for the job. He's our coach now.

Name 4 coaches UT went after with PROOF...Only 4...Hamilton settled with Dooley in desperation.

Defending the following.

14-16 Record-A quarter into his third year, with the best win being over Cincinnati.

4-14 Record-In the SEC, best win is over a 6 win Vanderbilt team.

0-19-Career record against ranked opponets.

36-15-Average margin of defeat against ranked opponets.

6-Number of 30+ point losses while at UT. 5 from SEC opponets.

1-8-Road record in the SEC, lone win was against Vanderbilt.

26-The streak that ended against UK last year in what has to be the lowest of all lows.

If UT were looking to hire a new head coach and one of the candidates career numbers looked like this, would he be someone you would consider worthy for the position?

looks like someone thats got a hardon against dooley and has too much time on their hands to dig up useless stats. get a life, perferably in alabama
