'13 GA DT Robert Nkemdiche

You mean to tell me 1 guy and his 6 MAC caliber teammates wouldn't fix Ole Miss :)

Lol. It wouldn't bother me a bit if he went to Ole Miss. I'm around a lot of Ole Miss people, and it would be hilarious to see them optimistic and arrogant, per usual, just to be put in their place with a 4 win season.

Actually 2 win season

Taking all 5 OVs. Clemson and USCw for sure. Also may visit UA tom. while at Hoover for the 7v7 this week.

Be honest, despite all his talent, with that roster and the way Saban recruits do you really want him?

He would be a great pickup talent wise wherever he ends up. I for one have never like his attitude during recruiting. Nothing to do with where he ended up. How he handled it with friends getting schollys and his above all attitue on twitter. I just hopes he finds what he is looking for.

I thought this guy said he was shutting it down after his boys got offered by Clemson?

Pretty much, he said if Clemson offered Carter, he was shutting it down. It was a pretty irresponisible article by the AJC in all fairness though. But at the end of the day, that was the message.

Clemson hasn't offered Carter, and likely won't. With that, one would expect he wouldn't shut down his recruiting. He's planning on taking all 5 official visits at this point.

He's doing whatever the hell he wants. Dabo is getting played.

Actually that's really not the case at all.

That's not a rip on you though. There are a lot of moving parts here, and I can understand how one might conclude that.

The part that's moving the most is the line between which CU commitments can OV other schools, and which ones can't.

Just a thought, but do. you think he will keep his commitment to Clemson until one of the last weeks/days of NSD and then flip? Reason I say that is it would make sure his boys get a ride to Clemson, and it would almost be to late to over recruit some of the less talented of his friends. It may be a ridiculous idea, just a thought

Dabo has never made that an iron-clad rule, although for some reason that is how it is percieved by outsiders. It was always done on a case by case basis. Two people so far have had offers pulled, Lane and McDonald. There was A LOT going on for both outside of taking other officials.

Dabo's stance on that is that he tries to discourage kids from commiting if they aren't ready. If they are, he doesn't see a reason for taking other visits. I'm sure he doesn't see a reason for RN taking these visits, but it doesn't mean he's gonna pull the offer.

I'm not sure if he ends up at Clemson. I would say we are definitely in the best position though.

I don't see the other side of it. Kamara and Gallman were takes all along for Dabo. Sure, Kamara isn't the best recruit on our board (he also isn't the worst, cough Greenlee, cough), but our coaches have liked him from the start. Early this year (when we weren't in great position with RN), Dabo had him on campus and made it clear we wanted him and he would have an offer regardless. He's a 3* kid, at the end of the day, it's not that big of a stretch. Gallman is a top 25 RB, and one of our more coveted RB's on the board from the start. Kids upside is huge.

Those are the only 2 offers associated with RN, so no, I can't see that side of it.....

I have no issue with a coach telling a kid to not commit until he is 100% sure. I think if a kid wants to take his OV's, then he should not commit anywhere until he has done so. The whole "He is just having fun" thing may be true. As a coach I would tell him to have his fun then, before pulling the trigger on where he is going.

Kids do not like when a coach is recruiting guys for their position when they have already committed. If the kid wants the coach to trust he will be a part of the class, the kid should not be taking visits and shopping himself around. It goes both ways.

100% agree with you, and I would venture to say Dabo feels the same way. In an ideal world, nobody would commit until they are 100% ready and have no interest in even hearing from another school. Unfortunately that's not the recruiting world we live in, especially with top level guys.

Sometimes you get lucky, like with Sammy and he literally won't even pick up his phone or accept other coaches visits to his HS. Sometimes you get RN who is apparently planning on taking all 5 official visits still, which IMO is ridiculous.

Either way, all you ca do is discourage them from commiting until they are 100% ready, and let the thing play out....

trying to get friends to school with you is one thing but saying if heis friend does not get offer he is opening back up .stupid kid

If CU does not sign RN will they 5 spots open on NSD or will they honor the ones for his friends?:)

Beverly was alarmed when she returned this summer to learn how serious Robert's commitment to Clemson was being reported.

"His decision is not final," she says. "He's just a teenager, and people are forgetting that. We had never discussed Clemson, and I am unhappy with Clemson. I'm not there, so I don't know for certain, but I feel like Robert was pressured into this decision." She'll return later this fall to escort Robert onto the field for senior night.

Something else is going on here and the mom is being used as the excuse. This is 2012 and Nigeria has telephones and email. I refuse to believe she didn't know what was going on until she got here. I would feel bad for Dabo, but in a way I think he kind of brought his on himself.
