'13 GA DT Montravius Adams

Especially considering how lazy Dan Brooks got at the end of his tenure here. It's funny to hear these recruits talk about how much they love him. He ratted Kiffin and Co. out after he was getting whipped on the Byrnes boys next thing you know Clemson is pulling 5* front 7's right and left.

I went to grad school at Clemson and its a great college town and the atmosphere is definitely SEC-esque, but their recruiting hauls despite their lack of success leads to many questions IMO.

A friend of mine played for Clemson. He and others seem to care less who they get because they will continue to blow opportunities.

Oh yeah I almost forgot about that whole Byrnes episode. I'm sure it's a great looking campus with passionate fans like an SEC school. Last year, they sniffed some national success and exposure, but all in all, they haven't done a thing with these stud recruits. And yet they continue to land commitments from them.

He just eliminated UA as of 8am - something must have "gone down".

Link please if there is one.

This is from today after 8am and notice he has no top group or list.

Adams is not in a rush to make his decision. He said he plans on waiting until Signing Day to make his decision. He said he's doing this because he wants to make sure he knows what as many schools have to offer him as he can. He does not have a list made at this time, but if he did, it wouldn't be a stretch to say Alabama would be high on it.

Does not look like anyone has either been eliminated or made his final group.

Lol.. Wow, I wouldn't have guessed that u would come here and say that...

Sorry I did not provide the direct quote and it was not mine.

“Alabama has always been one of my top schools; I just had a really hard time getting over there this spring.” Adams is very cautious in giving a list of his top schools, but claims that “Alabama is in good shape with me.”

Where is Adams'?

Irrelevant because the point is still the same -- that tweet came from neither one of them.

Which I never said I just stated that they do in fact have accounts. You then asked for a twitter account name and it was provided.

Man if Clemson pulls this one off they would have the number one dline class this year RN, Daniel, and Adams. Maybe even the number one overall if they keep this up

Adams doesn't know exactly where Alabama ranks for him right now but he gives us an idea here:

"I'm not going to say an official top three or anything right now but they are right up there in between Auburn and Clemson probably. I really liked my visit and it moved them up more."

Adams wants to see a few of his favorite schools before the summer is over.

"I want to see Auburn and Clemson again and maybe Florida too. I will probably go back to Alabama too because they want my mom to come and see it and she wants to go there."

records arent going to matter that much, he is not going to put us in the top 3 due to a winning record.

Maybe not, but history shows that players are attracted to hot teams. If we pull 9 wins in the regular season and win a bigger bowl, then our class will look different. Might not work on Adams though.

I think you are overblowing history but I would be interested in the statistics if you can provide them. I think a national championship or consistent double digit win seasons will definitely help recruiting thats a no brainer but if we turn around this year and win 9 games I dont see that affecting recruits other than Dooley's job security which might pull a couple who are on the fence(Bell, Ramsey, etc) I dont see it pulling guys who are favoring other schools.

UA won the NC for the 09 season, the game was Jan 2010. Our worse recruiting class under Saban was 2010. FWIW.
