I really like the part about the family atmosphere. I'm feeling much better about the team, chemistry wise, at this point than I did a year ago.

With most of the Fulmer guys gone and Dooley's guys as juniors or 3rd year players the chemistry will be better. These players were embarassed by losing to Kentucky too. That helped get everybody on the same page in the long run of things.

He came away with a strong message from the Tennessee coaching staff, one he says will stick with him.

They said I can play early. That's mostly what they kept telling me and I believe them that they could use me early.

Adams spent most of his time talking with coach Sal Sunseri.

"I talked to Sal a lot. I really like him and he says great things. I like how he does defense."

Adams also took time to build relationships with some players at Tennessee.

"I talked with Antonio Richardson a lot. We just chilled. I could see myself there I think."

Adams says he likes many things about the Vols but one aspect really stuck out.

"I like that they're family based. They were even better than I expected."

This can't be said enough: if we have a good year, this could really turn into an amazing class. We have elite talent at virtually every position kicking the tires on us. All we have to do is show them that we know how to win football games.

Go big orange.

But,.......can we find someone who can kick the ball?

As much as I hate to see a Kentucky loss, I think you are right.

Per KNS article Montavious said he will be back for an OV at a game this season. Absolutely has a man crush on Coach Sal. Loved the new training facility. As rote said he really clicked with some of the players. Will not make a decision until closer to signing day, but UT is very high on his list now.

We need to win some games and beat some rivals...if we do, this could be an elite class, IMHO.

i posted when i found out he was visiting that no way he would come here.and i was not being a negavol, just trying to be a realist.but hearing he had a real good time and how he liked most every thing about his trip and now having the vols high on his list instead of nowhere on his list.and if UT can win 8 or 9 games which i think is very possible.it is hard not to get excited about the idea adams #1 dt and #3 player over all could come to play at UT and some other top players like hatcher, lawson and a host of top db,s could all come and UT could finally get top tier talent all over the defensive side of the ball.but i ain,t going to get so excited that i stroke out if UT does not land adams or the others ,im just hoping they come to Tennessee cuz i am a rabid fan,and want the vols on top again.GO BIG ORANGE

Hm. I don't want to get my hopes up and read this thread, but I can't help it. At this point, UT needs to win. A lot of recruits are on standby with UT to see if the coaches will stick around. I know if I was a (unbiased) recruit, that's definitely something I'd be concerned about.

I know a coach that was at UT over the weekend and this week.... He talked to Richardson about seeing him many times throughout the day... Richardson said he just wanted to be around and talk to the recruits...

He was definitely recruiting Adams to UT...

We win this year and Sal will go crazy on the recruiting trail. Sal, Hinshaw, Ansley, Graham, and Pittman are some elite level recruiters. Dooley as a recruiter is very high level. If he can prove he can coach at a high level then it's on.

Cue mj with the popcorn
