There is no double standard. Everyone on here knows that I played with Cody so I'm going to naturally be proud of him and excited about the offers and UT commitment.

But I never have said I liked him as a player. I've been a tough critic of him on here and said numerous times he is going to be a STs player and have to work hard to ever get into rotation. I don't like the Zanca pickup either.

But the argument wasn't about that. I was simply stating Zanca has a sorry offer list, which he does. Cody's wasn't amazing, but it consisted of VT and 2 SEC teams. I trust UT's staff, but I just see Zanca as a player who could possibly get recruited over like UT's staff has done in the past (Henderson, Redding, Powers, Parker, etc.).

I think this kid is a decent WR but I don't think he's better than any of the guys we had come in last year. IMO if a juco isn't better than the young guys you have coming in then we shouldn't be recruiting him. We'll see though. Reminds me of T.J Jones from ND.

I think UT should have waited. I don't think Comas is better than the other JUCO WRs (Rumph, Smith, etc.). I'd be ecstatic if UT could somehow get Patrick in school and also sign Paul Harris. That would be a solid WR class.

Yeah exactly. Proud of what he did for himself and what he earned. And I do like him as an athlete, but I realize he has his work set out for him at UT. It'll be a challenge for him to get serious PT.

And yeah I defend him. I'd expect you'd do the same for someone you knew or played with. I can deal with people questioning his ability bc everybody has their own opinion, but the jokes just because he is white and look nerdy are not necessary.

Oh well, this is a Kris Comas thread. Enough of Blanc. I'll just have to learn to ignore.

Some of you all need to quit questioning a commit just because he's not highly rated by the so called "experts" who have just about as much of a clue as most of the people on here do. Dooley and company have done pretty well on under the radar guys, so just trust that they know what they're doing, sit back, and relax.

why wouldnt anyone question this committment, given the timing and the rating. nobody is freaking out,(except you), just scratching their heads. this time last year, and there probably would have been a melt down. seems like there is a lot more trust in the staff's aility to gauge talent, but that still doesn't mean we accept everything they do as blind sheep.

Not impressed by him or his measurables. As said before he isn't any better than the freshmen we are bringing in.

This is a strange situation: Comas is committed to us but not committed to us? Or is he not committed to us and committed to us? I'm confused. Scout acts like we snagged him, Rivals frontpage doesn't even mention him, and 247 says it isn't a done deal just yet. Strange days we're living in.

It just comes down to who talked to him and what they said. Gotta love recruitment "reporting."

Just curious about some of these offers with the limited schollies available for the 2013 class.
