We did s'mores last weekend
Cheated with the chocolate and MM, we used those choc covered bunnies that were going to be part of the Easter baskets

Behr, RV made some fantastic grilled chicken sliders on Sunday. Charcoal Grilled red peppers and grilled onions, grecian slider rolls, chicken tossed with a garlic, basil pesto with melted jack and cheddar. WOW. Oh, and a dash of Sriracha for the kicker.

I'd kick Behr for one of those (I must want one REALLY bad). :)

I was a "Guest" tonight for a "high end" dinner party. Lost my cookies.

Too much food or drink?

Neither. I worked the kitchen line. 40 guest that had a choice of three entrees. One was Salmon Oscar. The little saute mf refused to put the Asparagus on the side for three guests.

I have waygu steak and matsutake mushrooms.......suggestions for prep and wine?

I hear Dr. Pepper and Soy Sauce is a good Marinade, try that. You don't drink.

What wine would pair best with a whopper and chicken fries?

Franzia White Zinfandel.

Probably should, but I can't let it go.

If you want to marinate any steak in Dr. Pepper......something is wrong you.

If liking "New Country" means there is something wrong with me. Well, DUH.

I think we should have some Dr. Pepper marinated Tenderloins while listening to Taylor Swift. :clapping:

For the record, I've had nothing to drink.....yet.

:eek:lol: Kills ya don't it?

Personally, I just put S&P on mine. I do marinate chicken and chops sometimes. But for good steaks, they go on the grill naked.

Yes, but I really hate that it's that obvious.

"Kiddiedoc" said it best, I totally agree with his post. fwiw

I reckon I can't afford all of that daily-massaged, health spa beef that you'uns have been getting that is perfectly tender with just salt and pepper. My Publix or Wal-mart steaks need a bit of help.

My favorite t-bone gets sprinkled liberally w/ McCormick's Monterrey Steak seasoning, a few shots of Lea & Perrins worcestershire and the juice from 1 lemon, allowed to sit in the fridge for about an hour to drink in the flavor, then onto a hot Weber grill for about 4 minutes on each side. Allow to rest for five minutes and it don't get much better than that.

I usually sauté some fresh button mushrooms in some chopped garlic and butter to go w/ it. Oh, a baked potato and a glass of some dry elderberry or blackberry wine to complete the meal.

Behr. I have been digging on chuck eye steak recently. It's well cheap and it taste great.

This isn't a question, just a recommendation.

Heat your skillet up, put some salt and pepper on the steak and cook it. Wash it down with a beer and hopefully oral sex.

Enjoy!

Who are you blowing for dessert?

Doesn't matter.

Drink the Dr. Pepper with the steak. (if you can't drink alcohol)

Or, if it's that kinda party, have you ever had jager and Dr. P? Had it at a predators game in the United Center and it is oh so yummy. Kinda girly, but I don't care!

Alright Behr, I'm ready for some assistance with a standing rib roast. I want to keep it as simple as possible. I want to put it in the smoker. Just can't decide if I want to leave it in there the whole time or finish it off in the oven. Shoot some ideas at me.

Hickory

Leave it the whole time. (4-6 hours, depending on the size) I suggest more! FWIW

Spray it.

IMO
