During the regular season & the post season, the Big 12 was the 2nd best conference. In fact, for much of the regular season, the computers had the Big 12 as the best conference. Am I saying the elite of the Big 12 is better this past season than the elite of the SEC? Of course not.

Also, with WVU and TCU coming in for A&M and Mizzou, the Big 12 has become more difficult while the SEC has become easier. A&M and Mizzou are great additions for the SEC relative to eyeballs watching TVs and better TV contracts but purely in football terms, the Big 12 came out of realignment much better.

This whole conference issue is what has confused the aggies relative to recruiting. They think recruits will be more excited about them because they are in the SEC. Conference affiliation means more to them, and probably to you guys, than it does to Texas. Kids from the lonestar state grow up wanting to be a Longhorn and it has nothing to do with conference affiliation. They feel that being a Longhorn is special.

It's not. Moving on

Reading the comments below the article, it sounds like Texas fans already believe he's a Horn. The arrogance in Texas is alarming.

Arrogant they r for sure. But when it comes to an in state kid that grew up a fan they have a lot less to worry about than we do. Just sayin...

Hey, I'm just telling you how Dalton referred to the Big 12, "Garbage." There's a reason he's gone on and on about playing in the SEC. He'll tell you himself that the SEC has the most talent, and he wants to play with the most talent.

Have fun wasting talent again this year.

I think we have another number one seed for the Underachiever's Tournament, joining FSU and UGa.

Santos will more than likely evolve into a DE role at Texas. He is very similar to Brian Robison who came to Texas as a LB, played DE and helped Texas to a national title and is having a nice career at DE with the Vikings.

Texas has lost a lot of "out of state" recruits at the last minute during Mack's tenure. I don't hold a grudge against any of them. I can't imagine what it is like to be 17/18 and to be pressured by world-class salesmen into making a decision.

Texas was 11th in the nation in D this past season and that was with a sub-par offense supporting them and in an offensive intensive conference. Texas will be a top 5 D next season and probably the year after. Santos is walking into a great situation with a program he has loved since childhood. I will be shocked if he leaves Austin without committing to Texas.

What were those teams that texas played last year?

You mad bro? You don't have to read it. The government hasn't made it mandatory or anything....yet

Nah I don't care. It's just a lazy and empty website, that's all. It's not really a source on anything, so I don't think it's very relevant. Just my two cents. Not trying to hurt everyone's feelings.

I like your choice in names. If the shoe fits...

Texas is the most under-achieving team in FBS in relation to their talent. That must make you proud, certainly no reason for arrogance. Stoops owns you jokers.

Didn't texas lose to tha missouri team that has been dubbed as inferior? what was the score? 17 to a whopping 5 points? That's right. Also according to ESPN you have the 33rd best defense in the nation. Where did the 11 come from? On another note... how much did you beat A&M by? Those were your rivals right? 27 to 25? won by 2? Okay you have me sold. :eek:lol:

The Big 12 got more difficult and the SEC got easier? If A&M didn't have a lame duck as a coach, they would have dominated the Big 12 alongside OK St.

On any given day, Arkansas, LSU, and Bama could beat the best of the Big 12. I have no excuse for the SEC East. It's just down right now.

The reason for the downfall of the Big 12 was the arrogance of fans like you. Your comment in and of itself is arrogant and baseless.

I'd take USCjr and UGA over most of the Big 9 too, for what it's worth.

Excuse me? I'm a TENN fan. I was telling the Texas fan that Dalton referred to the Big 12 as garbage, and will tell you himself he wants to play with the best in the SEC.

Maybe USCjr with Lattimore in the line-up. Doesn't put UGA in that category. They are just as overrated as Texas.

Yeah with Lattimore. Even without him they were pretty darn good without Garcia this year.

And yeah, UGA is overrated, but they'd still handle most of the Big 12 with relative ease I think.

But Dalton Santos has been qouted as saying that he wants to play bigtime SEC football. The horns cannot offer this option except to get killed in a bowl game against a SEC game:)

Besides as my son says" you don't root for cows, you eat them :), I like mine medium rare please!"
Move along now Bessie, go mess with the horny toads of tcu.
