Too many people are jumping to conclusions. Yes, Santos has been taking his visits. He has said that he would from the get go. Yes, he is visiting the popular in-state team (Texas) this upcoming weekend. Santos obviously likes Texas because it is where he was born and raised. Just like most VN posters really like Tennessee because that is what they were raised to like.

Dalton Santos just last week said he loved his visit with Sal Sunseri and that he is 99.99% Vol. That is good enough for me. There is obviously still a pretty good chance he could go elsewhere, but if he does it was his choice. No reason to start acting like TN didn't want him. Because it is obvious he is a very important recruit to this class.

I think he sticks with Tennessee. If not I wish him the best of luck. It is his choice and there is nothing wrong with picking the home-state school.

Texas offer is a game changer. Arky/UGA...not so much. This is much bigger than just another visit.

I understand that. Texas usually gets whoever they want. Especially with instate guys.

No inside information, but I just have the feeling he will stick with Tennessee.

I'm with you. Dalton also made his 99.9% committed to UT speech after receiving his Texas offer since he received it at the UA-AA game.

How is it BS? They feel as though he will be good for their program and now they have a little room.

He is MLB that has been recruited by a lot og big-name schools so you would have thought Texas would have been one of the first recruiting him..That's all I'm saying.:hi:

This whole thread won't matter b/c he is probably going to Texas anyway.:ermm:

I think Santos will stay with the Vols- everyone freaked out and about gave up when GA made a late push. Sounds like the family is very involved in making a group decision and if his parents are worth their salt, the first thing they need to ask ole Macky when they get there is "why all of a sudden at the last minute do you now want my son?" Over the past couple of years with the last minute switches and bamboozles, we have learned that people can be strange and crazy, but I just have to think that his parents will talk with him about who has been there from the start and has stayed with him- not coming in at the last minute. But what do I know, maybe his parents are TX homers and were just waitiing for the offer? Either way it goes, he would be a nice addition, but if not, we are not exactly hurting in the LB position for next year and we can just get Sunseri to try to pick up the next LB stud for '13.

Whats in Austin?

Austin is a terrific city. I work for an airline and I have layovers all over world and Austin is probably my favorite city. If you like music you would love Austin.

The fact that you will see some of the most beautiful girls you will ever see in your life, everywhere, doesn't hurt either.

Worst thing about Austin is you can barely afford a hot dog. Extremely expensive to live there last time I was around. However, its an awesome city. Beautiful. But they're still Texas, playing the the Big 2 + 10 Irrelevent conference. Hopefully this kid stays a Vol. He's going to be a great leader, and he refuses to accept second place for himself. That's a winner.

unless something crazy happens next weekend, dalton will be a Horn, according to his dad.

R brown will not be a vol.

So he really never wanted to play in the SEC after all. Must have been his way of deflecting his desire to be a longhorn when not having an offer.

I thought there was an article that said he received his offer at the UA-AA game from Texas' offensive line coach?

Offer was Saturday night. Quote below.

Santos' father, Albert, confirmed to HornsNation that the Under Armour All-American got his offer from Texas offensive line coach Stacy Searels on Saturday night, and Santos is very interested in what the Longhorns have to offer

He got it Saturday night while he was visiting Arkansas? Seems like some odd timing. Texas arrogance at its finest. But, I suppose they have a right to feel that way where Texas high school kids are concerned.

Blast away, but see ya Dalton. Don't care if you flip one bit.

I know they do not have the 25 limit, but you would think they would be out of spots by now. They usually have over 20 by late Nov. or early Dec.. Also, anyone know how many LBs they have coming in and coming back?
