Arnett to transfer?

Remember how they played the recruiting process? Wouldn't doubt it. He's not even close to his dad (according to to everything I've ever read)

Dooley has been through this before and I don't he will give a damn about what the media thinks this time. In both cases , he did the right thing. Douglas didn't like what he did and his parents really were in denial of his situation , but it was the best thing for him. Brown has said he has no problem with what Dooley did and who here can say that he wasn't right about Brown? Hell , he is living in Knoxville now and never wanted to leave. He is closer to this situation than any media member and knows exactly what is going on. Say what you want about CDD , but the man isn't stupid. If Arnett really wants to go , nobody is stopping him.

Gribble just retweeted this from Arnett including the picture. From the looks of it, we have a kid going home to be with obviously sick father. I hope him the best and wish his family well. Good luck DA

_ArnettDoWork Please pray for me and my family as we go through this tough situation! It's very stressful for me!! lockerz.com/s/169620414

stay classy UT.

UT spokesman Jimmy Stanton on Arnett situation: "We're not denying him a release to be near his family, get a good education and play Division 1 football at the same time but we do have a policy of not releasing players to schools we either play or recruit against. Where he's from, there are several good D-I schools nearby that would be good options to play football, get a good education and keep him near his family."

I can deal with the playing against. The recruiting against is too gray.

His eyes look jaundice

thats because he is in liver failure, he has a portacath which gives him venous supply to the superior vena cava and thus the heart. usually for those who undergo chemo. either way, posting a pic of your sick "dad" on twitter is pretty desperate.

Sounds like someone isn't getting their way and they aren't happy about it. Trying to make UT out to be the bad guy.

Yep.

Unlike Florida (looking at WACO) Dooley allows these guys to visit wherever the hell they want after they commit. He made the wrong decision.

i think that's what you do when youre pissed off.

Sorry, but UT loses the PR battle in this one, regardless of who Arnett emailed, called, Tweeted to, etc........

That pic does NOT help Dooley or the school's stance at all imo.

And the way people badmouth 18 or 19 year old kids who are leaving their school for whatever reason, is beyond disappointing and has gotten worse. When you are wanting to "make a kid pay for disloyalty", you need to grow up.

Sad.

he is losing respect every second this drags on. ESPN isn't dateline, their not going to investigate UT and make them out as the bad guy.

Unlike Tennessee (looking at DRUNKJOHNNY), we let kids who do not want to be at the University of Florida have an unconditional release.

I like he he tweeted "he hasn't talked to anyone" and 3 seconds later here comes Joe Chad with the inside scoop and a story is up on ESPN front page.

I'm sorry, but I find it hilarious when a Gator fan tries to be all high and mighty. :lolabove:

so i dont see why UT rules out Michigan or Michigan state but says Central Michigan is ok

Because we aren't fight for Central Mich recruits. Michigan and Michigan State is a different story.

Bottom line, he made a decision to play at UT, signed a contract. Now wants out and that is his prerogative. But he has to live with the choice he is making.

You don't get handed things in real life because it's is or isn't fair.

Life isn't fair and this is a very cut throat business.
