what has arnett said to make you think that he wants out?

"I appreciate everything the Vols coaches have done for me but in the long run the Tennessee program isn't the right fit for me or my family."

Probably because it was posted 3 pages ago.

Remember how they played the recruiting process? Wouldn't doubt it. He's not even close to his dad (according to to everything I've ever read)

I admit, I didn't agree with you earlier about his motives. I now am starting to see that Arnett is home sick, and with Bagget leaving, he just wants to go home. If true, I don't feel sorry for him.

well the facts are he got all pissy when CCB left. his validation to ESPN about how he represented UT, just further VALIDATES that he wants out to play for a Big-10 School.

ok thanks for that.

That doesn't change the fact about his fathers health issues right? He has BCS conference schools that are within commuting distance of Saginaw. Why should he not be able to go to one of those?

This is the official statement from UT and I have absolutely no problem with it.

UT spokesman Jimmy Stanton on Arnett situation: "We're not denying him a release to be near his family, get a good education and play Division 1 football at the same time but we do have a policy of not releasing players to schools we either play or recruit against. Where he's from, there are several good D-I schools nearby that would be good options to play football, get a good education and keep him near his family."

The kid lost me the minute he used the word "deserve." After reading his email, it seems pretty clear he wants to play football wherever he wants, not wherever is closest to his family, and he's using the media to try and get his way. Sure doesn't sound like the sick father is the primary motivator. I 100% support the decision not to give him an unconditional release so he can run play for a better team.

Well it was kinda childish for him to email espn (if True), but he is just a lil 19 year old. Has the world figured out and don't know SH!t

Gribble just retweeted this from Arnett including the picture. From the looks of it, we have a kid going home to be with obviously sick father. I hope him the best and wish his family well. Good luck DA

_ArnettDoWork Please pray for me and my family as we go through this tough situation! It's very stressful for me!! lockerz.com/s/169620414
