Arnett to transfer?

He'll definitely get more playing time at Michigan. Compared to UT, Michigan's receivers are total crap.

He's screwing up if he leaves, tho.

not rumor anymore. Goodluck to you Mr. A. Be with your family and I hope your dad gets better.

I guess I'm over-analyzing, but I really don't like this quote from Arnett:

"the Tennessee program isn't the right fit for me or my family."

I don't mind him giving his opinion. It does seem like it has more to do with CCB leaving than the rumors about his dad being sick. Who knows?

Wow Really Dude why would he say that! That is just unbelievable. :eek:hmy:

that happens a lot with out of state kids. they come long distances and then find out it is not a good fit for lots of different reasons.

homesick
away from family
away from friends
differnet social atmosphere than they are used to.
FB program not like they thought
coaches not like they thought
don't make friends on team
etc etc..

there are a ton of reasons that fit that statement

His playing time behind DR and JH wasn't what he wanted. Guessing he would have picked UM last time had their program looked better. Glad he will get to beat up on OSU every year though.

Yeah. You think it would be something like"I really hate to leave the school and the program that I love so much, but family issues have called me home".
It's deeper than Pops being sick.

He was staying after the Kentucky game. And left after CCB "retired." It's pretty obvious.

It's not that big of a loss anyways.

A ton of college kids head off to college and go home, for various reasons, especially when they go to an entirely different part of the country. It would happen a lot more often if there weren't eligibility issues. With his family situation, eligibility won't be an issue.

Best of luck to the kid, and there is really no reason to pick apart his comments. It happens, but players can be replaced (unless you are JH)

Can't blame him for wanting to be close to his father who is sick. I'm sure he will do well at Michigan, MSU, or ND. Best of luck to him and his family

Sorry I'm just a little mad that we are losing more talent that could be on the field and beating Bama and Florida.

I think going overseas to serve my country, with no possibility of quitting, or saying "excuse me sir, but can I paweeeze go home?" has given me the "no matter what" attitude. I tend to forget everything that is at stake with these kids. Their career decisions, trying to erase their mistakes and bad choices. I certainly hope this UT football program isn't rotting from the inside out.

he has been considering this since October. what he said after Kentucky was for public consumption but doesn't mean he had stopped considering what he was going to do..the Baggett deal certainly was the final consideration to conclusion.. don't believe everything that is stated publicy... not alway the truth. I'm sure you understand that though..

Seems like an excuse to me. He's not getting enough golden treatment cause he's not as good as hunter or da-Rick. If my dad had been getting really sick for several months seems like I would have left sooner than right after CCB left. He's just realizing he's a second rate receiver at wide receiver U.

That beng said, if this turns into one of those stupid rumors like so many on here do, then I apologize.

I just think, when u commit to a school, u stick with it and give your all. And if u need more time with family then u dont go committing to another program cause they will need your time as well. Looks like excuses to me.
