"He told me right now he's trying to figure out what's the best decision for him," Kirk Landry said. "He said he's committed to LSU. He's not decommiting. The final decision may be that he's going to LSU."
Tennessee's one school that's increased its interest and has made Bourque aware of its lack of running back depth, Landry said. Texas A&M, the school Bourque originally committed to, had resumed talks before the recent firing of Head Coach Mike Sherman and hasn't made contact since the hiring of Kevin Sumlin.
We are the only school he mentions as recruiting him. If he decides he doesn't want to go to LSU, you have to like our chances.
I don't know, there's a lot of chatter that he's not happy about them taking Hill when Miles told him he would be the only RB in this class. Especially considering how many good young RB's they already have.
The problem is that these guys have always been "the man" and they see no reason for that to change, even when they will be competing for a spot against other great athletes.
It's like that stretch where USC is signing like 3 or 4 of the top backs in the country over and over again and they all think they're going to win the Heisman there. In reality, a few play and the rest transfer.

Article kind of makes it sound like his dad is encouraging him to stick with LSU but Davante isn't sure.
Perhaps LSU-SIU could shed some light on that.
I figured, considering that article is literally his dad speaking for him.
Yeah, you can go and find video of DB talking bad about LSU somewhere, I think his dad came in and took over, which in the long-run is probably best for the kid wherever they decide to go.
No kid is bigger than the school, we already had Perriloux try that out. Perriloux had about as much talent as I have ever seen and he completely blew it. If you are going to blow it, you at least blow it like J. Russell did.![]()
