You never know. We've had the discussion about the expanding diaphragm (not the birth control kind).

I bet I could sit and scream, and stomp my feet, and do just as good as someone standing

Thats fine.....but if its me and I am standing cheering and you tell me to sit down I am going to laugh at you and then ignore you....I paid for my ticket just like you did and if I choose to stand I WILL STAND.....if u choose to sit....then sit....

I understand when people want to stand. Your excited to see your team play or make a big play. I also understand the people that want to sit. But my personal thoughts are i paid for my seat just like you did and I am gonna do what i wanna do as long as i am not hurting anyone then leave me alone.

the usher telling you he was gonna "make you sit down" is beyond uncalled for. My wifes grandparents and aunt and uncle are both ushers at the games and have been doing it for over twenty years. I would have to believe that this person is either new or on a "power trip". They have said that most of the people they work with are nice and helpful.

I sit in section O myself and our family has had these seats for 30+ years; however, I have only had one person try and tell me to sit and it was last year and by an Alabama fan of all people. I'm sorry to anyone who sits behind me and can not watch the game clearly sitting down, but with donations and ticket prices I'm going to get every penny I spend for my seats. If you don't like it shut up and go home and watch the game on tv on your ass and quit trying to ruin my day watching the VOLS!

Hey what row in sec 0? I'm on row 27.

People have the right to sit as much as people have the right to stand. There's no written law to prevent people from doing one or the other. However, there's something called common courtesy. Nobody has a problem with people standing at key, exciting moments. In fact, it's nice to stretch your legs once in a while in that sardine can of a stadium. I'm just not sure I want to be "that guy" that stands the entire time. It's somewhat annoying, somewhat rude and I think those kind of people lack certain filters in their brain.

I tend to agree that you can make a lot of noise without being completely annoying while doing so.

Funny. You're the kind of person that makes me "accidentally" spill things on the back of your shirt throughout the game.

Makes a difference.

I would have to disagree. Your sitting or standing during a game has absolutely NO influence on the game. All it does is make a whole section of people want to take you behind the woodshed.

There's not anything wrong with standing. But there also isn't a need to stand 90% of the game either. If everyone in front of you is sitting then why do you need to stand? Especially during a random play on offense, etc.

that usher sounds like a _______ . i guess he thinks he is one of the KPD that now serves Neyland Stadium by escorting out our fans. it really is beginning to sound like Neyland Stadium is seriously losing it's home field advantage and great atmosphere it used to have. the Georgia and lsu games will determine the direction the stadium has gone. it's gone from wild and rowdy and passionate fans who love the vols in the 1990's and 2000's to a place people can't enjoy the game or get alittle rowdy without being escorted out when away team fans or other people complain and it really pisses me off... GO VOLS!!!

Really, standing up for every play doesn't make much sense, unless the people in front of you are. Of course on big plays in the game, 3rd downs, 4th down, TD attempts, it shouldn't be an issue. Standing up for a 2nd down in Q2 with a 20 pt lead on Buffalo is a little silly, imo.

For Bray every play is a TD attempt so I will stand the whole game!!! :) :loco:

:hi: Sorry couldn't help myself! :)

I do like to stand on all big plays or when a good play is breaking!

GO VOLS!!!!!!!!!

I have never heard a recruit say “wow that stadium was really quiet, I could read a book and be at peace on the side line during a huge game if I come here”! Having a great crowd impresses the visitors we have and shows our passion!

As for affect on the game, come on, having a loud a rowdy crowd makes a huge difference to the other team communicating on the field and has to give our D a boost!

GO VOLS!

I can agree with that. However, I don't need to stand to be rowdy. Don't get me wrong, I do my fair share of standing and yelling. I just don't feel the need to stand the entire game. I can clap and scream as easily sitting down as I can standing. Maybe some people aren't as gifted as me in that department, who knows?

Let me guess, you stand the whole time don't you?

Actually, no...you were being a douche and I personally don't like people who are like that....so it was personal....I will stand a majority of time but I do have respect for the people directly behind me....if they do not have a problem with me standing then I will probably stand the entire game....I do however have a problem when I stand for an important play and someone who is about 5 rows behind me yells for me to sit down....I turn look at him, laugh at him and continue to stand....

Who doesn't? However, when you're up 4 TD's on a team like Buffalo, you can probably take a little break from being obnoxious.

I agree with you a bit on this one but it is still a big play. I don't think I have ever been called obnoxious and I don't feel I have. Standing should not be considered obnoxious.

Standing is not obnoxious, but I think standing the whole game is pretty obnoxious.

I've been asked to sit once by the older man behind us that has had the same seats since the 60's. I traded with a shorter person and never had any issues since. I don't think this is too big an issue as long as people are aware of their surroundings
