Why should Fulmer be fired?

The coach is ultimately responsible for the team success or failure
the coach can do everything and if the team doesn't play to their ability then its their fault. A coach can't play in the game it ultimately comes down to the players!

You just said you coached so work your way up the ladder yal make it seem like its pretty easy!!

if your phil you can't coach in it either or so it appears. the kids were not ready to play it is his fault end of story.

What new coach has done something spectacular?
Willingham after Davie was fired at ND and Weiss did the same after Willingham was fired. As a coach it is YOUR responsibility to know what makes your guys tick and to find that key to unlock that fury and emotion for that player to want to run through a wall. I apologize to all of you, but CPF is not the guy to find that. He does'nt feel the need to turn that knife a little to get under a players skin to make that player say " I'll show you". It does work. Your players dont have to like you, but if you get them to give their best effort and play beyond their ability at times then they will respect you.

We are hanging out there, is able to (sometimes barely) take care of teams like Vandy and KY, but can not compete with those big boys consistently. I don't care if it's about player development or not. We are not there.

yal have to be kidding me!! The kids play the game, they made the mistake. Phils not out their holding onto the ball for them or checking off recievers for Ainge. Blame it on the coaching all you want but they were prepared they just didn't play

alright SECFANCLUB don't answer any of my posts you've been on this board since 03 and only have 100 and something posts... You must just come around when the talk about getting Fulmer out comes about so i really don't care about what you have to say either

It is ultimately the coaches responsibility to prepare the team. This team was not prepared, just as they werent prepared and got their asses kicked in back to back peach bowls by less talented Maryland and Clemson teams. I guess since it's the players faults and not the lack of motivation maybe we ought to shut down the football program since we cant seem to find players that want to play? (sarcasm)

I just want to have intelligent debates and not personal childish attacks. That is why my posts are limited, thank you. The number of posts doesn't have anything to do with your status on this forum, okay?

Good point Indy, I've never thought about it that way.:lolabove:

yal have to be kidding. saying its the players fault is not childish and its not an opinion its a fact!! How did the coaching have anything to do with the fumble by foster, or the reverse fumble. Maybe, possibly i could see the pick a coaching problem as a transfer of blame but not the others. And if the recievers wouldn't have botched the reverse that was going the distance because there was not one lion on that side of the field

sounds like a broken record in here ya'll

champyvol explain to me exactly how that is pointless?? how do you make a kid not fumble the ball?? do you know how many times they go over these plays??? have you been to a practice in knoxville??

well. foster has to know that you have to go down w/ two hands covering the ball in that kind of traffic, and your players have to know on the end around that if you barely have control of the ball, don't try to make a pitch like that. stupid mistakes by kids that weren't prepared. and last time i checked, coaches are in charge of making sure their players are prepared

broken record haha good one bud!! you have nothing to say but thats not correct so either say something countering it or dont say anything how bout it

weren't prepared? how are you going to say that?? you have to be kidding.. these types of mistakes are not the coaches problem.. Foster going down covering the ball how do you prepare a kid for that?? HE KNOWS HES BEEN TOLD THAT, making a sloppy pitch??? THEY KNOW, PHIL CAN'T BE THERE ON THE EXCHANGE. They know they've gone over it multiple times!!

you have to be kidding me!! i'm getting off of here cause yal obviously just don't get it. Here's a quote that a previous coach of mine told me in high school- "you can lead a horse to the trough, but you can't make him drink the water" maybe yal can make sense of it cause i must not have understood it correctly

pointless is right. the kids looked like amatures out there today. they were not prepared they played terrible, we couldn't tackle, turnovers, couldn't run, didn't pass that well basically got manhandled ya'll by a average team. at one point i wondered if they stayed up to late drinking last night. what it came down to is PSU didn't even play that good or we would have lost by 20+ points. we stunk the joint up out there and it is phil's fault the man is responsible. the kids DIDNOT COME TO PLAY.:hi:

If its not preparation then how do you explain PSU's kids not making similar mistakes?? They have 19 yr old "kids" playing. Why aren't they making similar mistakes turning the ball over? Maybe because of coaching??
