Why should Fulmer be fired?

you have to be kidding me!! i'm getting off of here cause yal obviously just don't get it. Here's a quote that a previous coach of mine told me in high school- "you can lead a horse to the trough, but you can't make him drink the water" maybe yal can make sense of it cause i must not have understood it correctly
The horses in this case werent led to the trough they might have been shown a picture or told some amusing story about the trough but make no mistake they certainly werent led to it.THEY WERE LOST the whole game!

so your telling me they don't know how to play football??
Sure didnt seem like it today. They simply were outclassed and outcoached, and outprepared. The other team in this case was much thirstier than ours, and from my playing days which seem a lifetime ago (although VolStuck is gonna allow me a trip down memory lane) the motto was always we have the whole off-season to heal lay it on the line dont leave anything on the field. Today it was left in the locker room, it never made the field.

It's been this way for awhile. But apparently you have to be content with it or you're just a fairweather fan.

I not content with this, so they can call me whatever they want.

"yal have to be kidding me" is the new "all your base are belong to us"

At least for me, anyways.

I asked this in a another thread but I'm really curious as to why people want to see Fulmer fired? Will that automatically make us national championship material without him? I'm serious, I'd like to see a well thought explaination without the usual BS because talk.

Because he's not winning championships...not even in the lowley SEC. Besides he's dumb, fat and ugly in that order.

SEC/VOLS=LOSER

So easy!

Got to go now . . . It's my turn to visit Maurice Clarrett in prison.

Is that your personal reason. Can you prove that in any sense?

This is an old topic, but here are a few quickies for the fire Fulmer camp.

1. 42-21 the last 5 years
2. Outside the top 20 4 of the last 6 years
3. No SEC titles since '98
4. No BCS bowl appearances since '99

sounds to me like he needs a payraise.

Good points posted. As I have stated before, as long as we have all the "good ol' boys up there" Fulmer is pretty safe and he will probably get his pay raise.

Hey pillow biter, troll on back to your NAMBLA boards, where you can converse with others of your ilk, that like your boy toys like your scotch bottles...aged 10 years and full of liquor.

When Fulmer decides to retire I think we should talk to Stoops from OU. I remember reading somewhere a while back that he would like to come back the the SEC. Do you think we would pursue him when Fulmer is done?

You sound like a Bammer. Stoops wouldn't make a lateral (or right now, a step down) move.

I read somewhere that he wanted to return to the SEC. I don't think Fulmer will be around for more than 2 years. He has said he didn't want to be coaching into his 60's. He's in his late 50's. Take it for what it's worth.

After loosing to Boise State, we still want Stoops?

I would rather have mediocre recruiting and have great coaching and win 4 or 5 games of year then have all the talent in the world which gets everyones hopes up before we lose 3 games which includes the loss to Florida then proceed to lose in a third tier bowl game. I would rather not underachieve but prefer to overachieve for once.

Nice post. The only thing is, UT hasn't got those stats to base their opinions of CPF on. The only thing they have is a NC trophy from 98. *SIGH*

I was there, and after the fumble the Vols quit. That is what is sad. They weren't prepared and they QUIT. That is a reflection on the HC sorry. I have personaly never said this but it is time for him to go. GO VOLS

yes to a number of VOl Fans that NT Ch means more than what occurred since.

Exactly and that's the problem. When are they gonna realize that the SEC is growing and they are starting to get behind in the times?? I mean look at it, even Vandy is trying to grow. Its sad when UT can't see past 10 years ago and try to get something new in here. I think that Cut would be a good HC/OC and Troop would be a good DC. Even if it didn't happen like that I wouldn't complain. Its just time for some change on the Hill is all.
