'12 NC OT D.J. Humphries

Deathmatch 99 vs Waco. Who y'all got? I'm going 99. No offense Waco, but 99 is cuthroat. You're a lot nicer. LOL.

this is just proof we have people crazier than your crazies.

people were "jumping off a cliff" because tennessee had two commitments.

at florida, you can have a top 5 (currently) rated class and people claim potentially missing out on a prospect (an out of state prospect, mind you) and florida is losing it's relevance in recruiting.

this isn't personal. i just think it shows some serious inconsistency.

waco has continually argued that rankings and ratings don't matter. anyone who has read different threads in the recruiting forum can verify that. that having a 14th rated class is a-ok.

but, now florida misses on a guy and despite doing very well on the recruiting trail, florida has to work to become relevant.

99 our fan base is just as crazy. They are all hibernating. Once we start winning again, we'll be mad with a top 10 finish in recruiting. We'll also expect to go to a BCS bowl every year. UT is a sleeping giant. I've been a fan for all of my 32 years on this earth and I didn't think we would ever have to come back from this far down.

Our class will still end up decent, but not what we thought it would imo. We'll still get some decent players, but the future isn't quite as clear about where we are headed.

One OT that had been to Tennessee multiple times committing to Tennessee over Florida isn't a deathblow.

The problem with Florida fans is they're not completely grounded in why they have had success and why their little two decade lucky train is about to derail.

Before Spurrier, Florida football was a joke. You had an extremely good football coach that had CPF's number. When he left, you went back to sucking. You then got lucky again with Tim Tebow. The reason CUM left is because he knew he had nothing without Tim running the ball on 3rd and short to get the first down. Even the first year, when Tim was not the starting QB and Leak was it was Timmy who came in and bailed your sorry offense out of a jam and got another first down.

Timmy ain't coming back. Neither is Spurrier. You also now have a FSU team that is on the rise again and a coach (our coach) who isn't scared of your team like CPF was.

There is panic in your fanbase because many of you who have been around long than just the last 15 years know that FSU coming back and all the changes going on with your team could easily send you back into the abyss you were in before you got lucky in hiring Spurrier.

You also know that all it is going to take is one more average season and all your future recruits are FSU or Miami or (as is the case here with Humphries) headed to TN.

90% of your fans are bandwagon fans. You go 2 seasons .500 and your fanbase is gone.

I for one can't wait to see it.

BIG loss.....I don't believe Muschamp will give up on DJ but guess it's time to make up with Pat Miller! :cray:. Out of the 3 "must have" on offense, DJ was the BIG one on the board.

I just wish we weren't pulling in all these beasts in positions we are already stout at.
Not complaining, just saying.

He's the best "inside" source we got. The only one he got wrong this last class was Dawson who supposedly lied to the face of the coaches. I also remember earlier this year when everyone thought Kimbrow was a Tenn lock, and he said we had a lot of ground to make up. He was 100% right again. He knows his shiz....

Him and maybe LV are the only insiders we have as far as recruiting goes IMHO.

Nail on the head.

Ron Zook already happened and it didn't really slow down UF

Let us not forget all of the talent that is at Florida right now... not just in the state, but at the school.

It all comes down to whether Muschamp can get things done quickly or not.

I am not a Muschamp fan and I am glad Tennessee didn't hire him, but he has a pretty good staff assembled. He is also a very good recruiter.

It's also important to remember that FSU AND UF were both able to consistently be top 5 schools during the Spurrier era. Muschamp has a lot to prove, but there is enough talent down there for all three schools to be very strong.

Pretty good? Man they're a darn good staff. I don't like them but until they prove me otherwise I'll give their talent respect; not smart not to

Please tell me this is a joke? You can be a moron and hate Florida all you want, but the fact that they are in a talent-rich state (FSU can't sign 90 players from Florida in a year), have amazing facilities, and a great education will always have them in the thick of things. This is one of the dumbest posts I've ever seen, and I've seen a ton.

I wish you were right on this, but I don't think you are. Florida is an easy, easy school to recruit to. State is loaded with talent, and who doesn't want to go to school and party within a short drive to the beach. We can pass Florida, but if we're Harry Potter, FL will always be Voldemort, if we're Superman, they're gonna be Lex Luther, that's just the way it's going to be IMO.

It's two hours at best to a small beach. Not a short drive. Short Relative to you but not to floridians. Beach is a garbage "plus" that out of state people include. It's nowhere near a beach
