'12 NC OT D.J. Humphries

Florida will never be a .500 program...too much instate talent, big time boosters, SEC money and one of the Top 5 AD's in the nation, for that to happen. Only probation could derail the program(again).

I will agree with HG on this one. Florida will be Florida ... It would actually hurt my feelings a bit if Florida was to down-spiral. Too good of rival to lose IMO.

I like the position we are in with Humphries. He seems to have made connections here that cannot be denied. I feel like he has a good head on his shoulders which leads me to believe that he wouldn't be into the "playing around" business.

This much is true: He really likes Tennessee and He really likes Florida ... Should be a fun couple of weeks.:hi:

Honestly, we never really gave a rats ass about Florida prior to the split in 1991, because we didnt have to play you guys every year. Up to then, our main rivals were Auburn, Alabama, Vandy, and Kentucky.

After the split, you took Auburns spot and now we hate you as much, if not more, than we hated the Whore Eagles.

Absolutely. Unless you get the three coaches in three years curse we did.

Everything is in cycles.

Programs like USC, Texas, FSU, UT and UGA should NEVER go down-hill bc of their resources. FSU's AD should have asked Bobby to step down 5 years ago but couldn't make that choice. UT had the same issue with PF and then hiring of Lane Kiffen. Foley has stated success and will NEVER allow UF to make those mistakes. IF Muschamp isn't playing in the SECCG and BC games within 3 years....UF will be hiring a new coach.

Only takes a second bad hire though before 3 turns into 6, then your in the "down" cycle. Hire a good one who gets you back in year 2 and the cycle lasted 8 years.

Evening Gator update: "D.J. Humphries just informed ITG that he will not be able to attend FNL this Friday. According to Humphries, his father is unable to get off of work. Humphries said that he wanted to attend the event but just would not be able to."

Yet they have all been down in cycles.

Once again all men of volnation have been rewarded for trusting in our skeet... Go Skeeter, Go Vols

Your right Fl is a talent rich state but Fl also did suck before Spurrier. COllege football is cyclical. Problem is I dont think your old enough to have witnessed these cycles. I'm not saying Fl will ever suck again but they will have dips. Just the way it works.

Of course they will have dips, it's college football where you constantly have to try and replace players each year. But to assume they will suck just because they did before Spurrier is dumb as hell. The money that comes through that university, the great AD, the great facilities, etc...

You've heard the rumors that he is a UT silent huh?

Unless something dra$tic has changed him, I expect him to be a Gator.

FWIW, he's on the might attend list. He was never going to work out there and he doesn't need to.

Just read that he's not coming because his Dad can't bring him because of work. He's choosing on Aug 5th.

Some random Gator fan on tiger droppings, fye

I did not say they would suck again but anything is possible. If Muschamp fails and they go through some coaching turnovers like we did Miami and Fl St will be all over them. Not to mention any program is only one NCAA ***** slap from a few years of mediocrity.
