NBA Trade Rumors

No f-ing way. Miller is probably the most underrated point guard in the NBA, and I have no hope for Rubio.

You think he's closer to Rondo or Jennings?

Yeah, me either. Miller is good despite the fact that he can't shoot and isn't great on D. That's about the best Rubio can hope for.

Jennings. Rondo is actually good.

Williams and turner are 2 totally different players. Turner does a lot of things well and was a triple double waiting to happen everytime he set foot on the court in college. Turner hasn't been a bust at all and I don't think Williams will be either.

7 points 3 rebounds and 2 assists a game on a .500 team.

Jennings is much more of a scorer and much less of a passer than Rubio. Aside from the fact that I don't think Rubio will ever come close to 55 points in a game, 5 assists per game is way too low for the way he plays. They have nothing in common except for the fact that they can't shoot.

Wow. I would have never made that connection. Turner took almost three times as many 3's as Williams in their final years of college. Also I don't think there's any way Williams could play guard.

Williams shot an absolutely ridiculous .595 FG%. He may bust, but I'm expecting him to be the best player in the draft. Irving may be, but he only played 11 games and that's too little to go off of.

Wasn't referring to their game. I don't think either are going to be impact players. More than likely both will be number two picks, if Williams does there tomorrow but I don't think either will amount to much.

In terms of style of play I haven't seen enough of Rubio to liken him to anybody. I agree he's not like Jennings. Not really like Rondo, IMO either.

That .500 team was very young overall and also made the playoffs. Philly has a crowded backcourt so he's still trying to find his way. Not saying he'll be a perennial all star, but far from a bust.

Nor do I... The kid has been average in Europe for the last two years, he'll be borderline bench quality in the NBA. Plus the Wolves are putting way too much pressure on him to be the savior of the franchise.

Can't really compare euro to NBA. Rubio's game is definitely better suited for the NBA

I expected a hell of a lot more from him. I can't say one good thing about his rookie year. He might play in a crowded back court, but if you look at his stats per 36 minutes (about what you'd expect from a starter) he averaged 11 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal while shooting an abysmal .484 TS%.

He only started 14 games because of that crowded back court that i referenced, so he played well in his opportunities imo. If you watched him in college (which I don't know if you did or not), he was the primary ball-handler. So now he has to also make the transition to off the ball. How many rookies not named Blake Griffin came in and set the world on fire? Also if you go by advanced stats he played just about on par with number 1 pick John Wall. Either way it's too early to determine if either was a bust or not.

Who according to advanced stats, isn't very good. There is a rookie besides Blake Griffin who set the world on fire, and he plays Turner's position. Advanced stats rank Landry Fields as a top 20 player in productivity (Blake Griffin was top 10).

Landry Fields crashed and burned at the end of the season, and was a complete liability in the playoffs. Jury is still out on him, he either played well above his head to start, or he got in a black hole type slump.

I'd trust what he did over 82 games rather than what he did over 4 games. If I were you, I'd be looking forward to years of excellent guard play for your Knicks. I'd expect him to score more like 15 ppg next season and continue to shoot a very high %.

I'm talking about his last 20 games.

BTW, just saw sports science on Derrick Williams. They wanted to see how he would adjust to 3-point range in the NBA. He hit 9 out of 10 catch-and-shoot shots and his release was .79 seconds which they said is on par with Kevin Durant. Pretty impressive.
