I'm in disbelief as to why so many people passionately speak out against Cam. If you want to call him a risk, that's fine, but I don't understand this anti-Cam mob.
You can't deny that he's a risk, I'll give them that. You also can't deny that he's got the most upside in this draft.
I enjoyed his interviews with Charlotte radio last night. I am looking forward to his future with the Panthers.
I wonder if Garrard is an option for us now with Gabbert going to Jax, and Shula being in Charlotte. That coudl help Cam a lot.
You are exactly right. People are letting his pay-for-play deal cloud their vision of how good this guy really could be.
Even if he isn't the superstar that he could be, I still think there's zero chance that he isn't better than Jimmy Clausen.
I heard Jordan Gross on the radio this morning, and he said Cam is coming in tomorrow to participate in Gross's charity kickball tournament. Great PR move.
I just wonder if he's going to succeed in a pro-style kickball game.
Panthro, your wish is granted.
I'm not sold on Newton at all, but any player who becomes a Panther will have my support 110%. I hope this kid can be the franchise QB we've never had.

And we all know interviews are just as important as "on the field throwing and running," which are "other worldly."
Remember, there Titans fan, Newton scored higher on the wonderlic than Jake Locker.
I still think you guys are looking for something to complain about with the Gruden thing. He asked for him to call a play he used at Auburn. They didn't have elaborate plays to call in the huddle at Auburn. I'm not seeing how that's his fault. He drew a blank because there was no play to recollect from Auburn. It would be like if you asked a Falcons fan to describe a time they did something classy. They'd blank because there just isn't anything to say that would satisfy the question.
If Gruden had asked to call any play, that would have been different, but he asked him to call a play he used at Auburn.
I would have thought more people would be all over his cocky attitude in the piece. The guy has plenty of time to learn the play calling stuff. He's ahead of the game on physical tools. Now he needs to work on other aspects of his game. I feel confident that this coaching staff will get the job done. Remember, coach Chud is the guy that made Derek Anderson look like a good QB in Cleveland a few years ago. When he left for SD, Anderson wasn't successful again.
Gotta love that Newton spent five hours going over plays with the staff on Friday.
