As long as you've got a pair of Vineyard Vines or Southern Tide croakies, too

Seriously, though. If you're worried about losing expensive sunglasses, just put croakies on them. Hang them from your rear-view mirror. When you get in the car, put them on. When you get out of your car at your destination, you can either hang them back up or leave them on, then just let 'em dangle. You won't lose them because they're always on your person or in a specific spot

I bought a pair of Costa Del Mar sunglasses that have three interchangeable lens for my fishing. Grey for sunny days, Tan for cloudy days and Amber green for those in between days. They cost me about 140 bucks. They're worth it, especially in clear water.

The Ballasts look almost weightless but are only available (to the the best of my knowledge) as 400's.

Which lens option (tint) did you go with? (VF14 also) From what their site describes (and what I already have in other sgs) I'm leaning green mirror for a possible future purchase.

I have blue lenses in both pair. But u can't go wrong with either green or blue.

I used to be a strictly ray-bans guy until I broke down and bought a pair of costas. I have the deep blue (black frame/blue lens). They're my absoulutle favorite glasses I've ever owned. They are a bit heavy on my face, but the quality is well worth it.

I don't feel like they're going to break when I drop them (still haven't, and have had minimal damage even after some drunken stumbles). They've held up better than any other pair of glasses I've owned.

I recently found this style has been discontinued by costa. I want them in tortoise with a green lens, but am having a hard time finding them.

I don't know if it was the same ones or not but I had some Costas they called the Fluid that came with three interchangeable lenses; gray, amber and vermillion. I liked them...til they were stolen. They only got the frames while the amber lenses were in and I ended up going Frankenstein and filing down the other lenses to fit into an old pair of Oakley E-Wires. Those were my "beater" sunglasses for several years.

I know I was just being a dick. I have a pair of croakies and I don't go near water with my sunglasses without them attached. However I don't understand the people who just wear them around all the time.

I have a pair of Maui Jims with prescription lenses. They took a little getting used to, as the wrap lenses give you a bit of a "fishbowl" effect, but the lens quality is fantastic. Quality 'script lenses are not cheap. There is nothing "glad" about the price.

On a tighter budget, I had a pair of Smiths with polarized lenses that were good for the money.

Anybody own them? What would be your review on them? Are they worth the $180?

And I do alot of bass fishing, and I know their supposed to be good for fishing.:hi:

Go with the 580s. Definitely worth the money. Go with something amber if u do alot of sight fishing. The green and silver mirrors are over an amber base. The blue mirror are over a grey base. In my opinion the blues are too dark on an overcast day or if the sun isnt too bright.

Looked on my box and they're the 400 series. They've been durable and the best part is the 3 sets of lenses.

Until recently, if you had plastic lenses then they were 400s. Now they make the 580 in plastic and maybe it's my imagination but I still thought the glass looked better; enough to justify the weight and breakage potential.
