Breaking news, Vol fans...head coaches bend the rules; break them; lie; cheat; and fart in the elevator and blame it on an intern. They all do, to one extent or another. There are some who play by the rules...some who play by the rules most of the time...some who play by the rules when they're being watched...and some who think the rule book makes good toilet paper.
But the bottom line is this: If you get caught, take your medicine. Man up, stand tall, and take what you earned.
Bruce Pearl got caught. Plain and simple. He risked the reputation, and NCAA standing, of the very institution he claims to love...all for the sake of a couple of recruits who, truth be told, could care less about the proud history and tradition of The University of Tennessee. Plain and simple.
I've made my mistakes...plenty of them. I've also been man enough to stand up and take what I had coming.
Time to find out if Bruce Pearl is a man. Failing that, Mike Hamilton...which I don't hold much faith in...and failing that, get ready for the NCAA to step in and make examples out of Bruce Pearl...and UT.
I'll always be a UT fan. I will never again be a fan, or supporter, of Bruce Pearl, or Mike Hamilton. They won't miss what little they used to get from me...but they'll not get another dime until both of those lying scoundrels are gone.
Go Vols.
