Walls want be fully healthy for next season, he will be able to play but he wont be very affective. We would need to add 1 more quality DT with Couch & Wright.

I wouldn't be too comfortable in saying that because the doctors and rehabilitation programs now are ridiculously good. Cedric Griffin on the Vikings tore his ACL and 8 months later was back in game action. I've heard that Walls has been coming along nicely so it will be interesting to see.

Really? I had'nt heard about that, hopefully the same thing can happen with Walls & Martin. Except for they have a full year to recover.

I looked the injury up, and it said 4 to 6 months before full recovery. I think that would put us right at spring practice before we get him into football shape. I'm optimistic on his recovery because it would be over a year for Walls between when he ruptured his achilles and the first game of 2011.

I think he'll be all go by September '11. Same with Ben Martin.

I don't disagree on adding more DT deptht though. I don't think it will be Mickey Johnson, however.

I'm just going to let this thing play out cause so much will be rumored & said until NSD but I'm sticking with my prediciton that Wright signs with UT on NSD.

As noted in the past, I agree. I think Hubbs is just playing the percentages on this one -- Gabe has probably mentioned Auburn leanings more than he has any other team. In the case of Gabe Wright, I would say that Hubbs has no more knowledge or insight to his intentions than any of the rest of us, including myself.

That said, I am still inclined to think that the Vols lead for him at the moment, and that he will ultimately be a Vol on NSD.

You guys are forgetting one MLB that tore his later in the season and he was back full strength early in the summer.

Sorry Jmoore, but i gotta disagree with you on this one. I have seen him running some and jogging. He will be ready to go for next season. Ben should be too. Both are busting their butts in the weight room.

Dequan Menzie ruptured his achilles in December, He's been Bama's starting CB since Fall camp

the marvels of modern medicine

true but that being said, defensive tackles put a lot more stress on their achilles than a cornerback does. Think about being low on every play and fighting with a lineman compared to bump and run coverage.

Wes Welker was back amazingly fast IMO. He was back to training and runnings routes in a short amount of time. The tension on knees and ankles as a WR, especially slot guys, is pretty great.

its alot easier for a DT to come back from ACL's & Achilles than a skill player. change of direction is the bigger cause for concern when rehabbing those injuries.

Guys I was basing my opinion off of what Hubbs said yesterday, someone asked him how Martin & Walls were progressing & he said that they were off the crutches but you could notice them limping, he said they will start going hard in rehabilitation in January but that he didnt think they would be 100% by next season.

I hope I'm wrong & you guys are right, I would love to have them both back full go & be contributors because we def need it.

"The environment was good and I knew it would be. I like the fact that Tennessee sells 10,000 tickets to Alabama. I couldn't tell if it was a home or away game to honest with you," Wright said.
- Rivals

Said his top 6 is Auburn, Tennessee, Clemson, Georgia, FSU, & Alabama in that order, Wright said he is undecided on some OV's but schools he might take them to are UCLA, Nebraska, LSU, Miami, Florida State, Clemson and Tennessee. He will decide in December or at the UA All-American game.

F'in facepalm

If you read the rest of the article there is even worse quotes in there....didn't sound to good.

Talks about how once Bama starting killing us the Crimson started really sticking out as the TN fans sat down and left and Bama started really cheering.
