Oku leaving program? (False Rumor)

For comparisons sake

Brandon James as a Sophomore:
2007 30 841 28.0

Oku as a Freshman
2009 33 863 26.15

800 return yards in his freshman year isn't that good? You know what, you're right. He should take every kick to the house. That's perfectly sensible.

He could have started by giving us even the slightest bit of hope that he could run one kick back for a touchdown. I had taken to calling him Slowku every time I saw him return a kick. It was the same story every time. There is just no explosiveness to be found when you watch him run. Still, a place could have been found for him to contribute on a team as depleted as the Vols. Oku is far from bad, but...

This is so true, I say we Fire Dooley right now. before he runs off another player.

Its funny that when Kiffin was here and all those guys left, it was that they didnt want it bad enough and they didnt want to work hard. Now that it may be happening with Dooley, its all bc he is running them off and its his fault not their lazy azzes. We have to give the man a daggum chance....it wouldnt matter if we had Cowher or Gruden, we would still be where we are bc we are not as talented and apparently the work ethic that was instilled in the players from the previous 2 coaching staffs was not what it was cracked up to be.....if we fire Dooley now we would be in a worse situation next yr than we are now.....we need stability and if in 3 or 4 yrs we are not competing then fire him and try again....look at Nebraska, once a proud program that fell on hard times and went through some coaching changes and now they are starting to turn it around and they were down for some years before it happened.....it is gonna be awhile before we compete so might as well get used to that and support the team we have. GO VOLS!

Man, that Jarvis Giles - David Oku combo, the No. 1 and No. 2 APB in the nation really missed the mark.

Giles recently left USC lite in Sept. and now Oku leaves UT.

Maybe they will get to play together after all.

So, are there any FACTS as to whether he is leeaving or not?
And what WR are the "rumblings" about mentioned earlier in the thread?

I say kick all the coaches to the curb and us fans can go coach these kids and put some fire into them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I see no merit in such an idea, even when it is presented facetiously. The idea that an untrained yet highly opinionated public can intervene in almost any situation is a damaging prospect.

Also, adding an imordinate number of exclamation points does nothing to emphasize or solidify your argument.

I really think Oku sees the fact that this staff is in way over their head. Guess him and Bray are the only ones willing to admit it.

Yeah man. Because at the ripe old ages of 18 and 19 respectively, Oku and Tyler have been around enough coaching staffs to know that ours is in over their heads. Guess that explains Bray not getting any playing time yesterday.
