Dooley turning in at least five things to the SEC for review/clarification

From what I saw, if the refs had flagged the right guard that pulled out early then they should have been penelized for a false start.

I agree on asking for a review. There have been too many questionable rulings in all games and maybe it is time to have Officials take a refresher course and pass a written test on the rules....I hate to lose as bad as the next person but to lose on questionable calls hurts worse....We have enough bad stuff to live down and now too many on the field. Remember we have a lawyer for our coach and he will ask......

My one question is whether or not LSU was able to line up correctly. I don't have DVR, but remember watching the replays and wondering whether someone jumped on the line or if they had the correct number on the line of scrimmage etc... That play was such a clusterf--k that I'd be impressed that they got it off without commiting a penalty.

Game is over and in the books...time for the STAFF to look at the lessons learned and continue their professional development.

i don't understand why so many are bringing up the "taking off the helmet" issue. people that point to that as a reason for us "getting screwed" are seriously grasping at straws. the guy took his helmet off so close to the end of the play and to the end of the game that it wouldn't have mattered in that situation. no sane ref is going to call that at that point of the game whenever there is that much chaos going on on the field.

According to the officials, the player took the helmet off due to a medical condition - a skin irritation on his left ear lobe.... He did not remove the helmet in disgust because his team just got beat.

At least that's what he told the officials... :eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol:

If it's the untimed down that you are referencing, the left end and left flanker (slot) did not become set for one second prior to the ball being snapped. In the world of officiating, it's called an 'illegal shift'. Previous spot, 5 yard penalty, and replay the untimed down.

But in the world of SEC officiating, late in the game, it's turn the other cheek as the aggressor is "ranked", and are playing at 'home'. We have been benefitted from these situations as well in the past... :peace2:

So, what exactly would've changed if LSU had been flagged for a penalty? Wouldn't it just be a case of offsetting penalties which just results in another down anyway?

I could see how one of these could save Dooley a lot of paper work.

Check the clock from the time is was spotted for play and the snap. It was a minute and 4 seconds. How was the delay of game not called?
