Lets break it down further:
QB, Advantage: Even. Unknown for both teams at this time.
RB, Advantage: Even. Both teams have talent and depth at the position.
OL, Advantage: Oregon. They have returning starters, we don't.
WR, Advantage: Tennessee. We have talent and depth, Oregon doesn't.
TE, Advantage: Tennessee. Stocker is a future NFL player.
DT, Advantage: Oregon. We are just thin on experience.
DE, Advantage: Tennessee. Talent and depth abound for the vols here.
LB, Advantage: Tennessee (slight). Tennessee has loads of experience and depth here.
DB: Advantage: Tennessee. Tennessee has good experience here, plus the Ducks just seem to have problems defending the pass.
Kickers, Advantage: ??????? I just can't say right now. Tennessee may have the best legs in the country right now, but they are young.
Returners, Advantage: Even. Oku has done a quality job for the Vols.
Intangables, Advantage: Tennessee. Oregon hasn't done well in away games, plus traveling east is very hard on west coast teams particularly in a daunting stadium like Neyland.

Way off, imo.
QB, Advantage:  Even.
RB, Advantage:
Oregon.  Both teams have
depth. Oregon's RBs are better based on YPC (6.7 and 6.0 vs 4.8 and 4.1)
OL, Advantage:  Oregon.
WR, Advantage:  Tennessee.
TE, Advantage:
Even. Oregon has a set of excellent TEs in Paulson, Williams and White.
DT, Advantage:  Oregon.
DE, Advantage:  Tennessee.
LB, Advantage:
Even (if not Oregon). Probably Oregon's greatest strength on D.
DB:  Advantage:  Tennessee.

			Hmmm...you may have a point.

Nope. Just checked. Bad misfire on your part.

Compare the conference and National / BCS titles between the two programs...going back to...say 1893...and Oregon is so far behind UT that you'd need a telescope to spot them.

Actually, no. My point remains valid. You just missed it.
Point summary: nobody cares about UTs past titles other than UT fans.
Enjoy your past titles. You might as well be bragging to me about how your nephew got straight A's last year. Congratulations! Not sure why you think such statements have any bearing on my enjoyment of the Ducks doing well.

			Oregon's major claim to fame over the past two decades is (a) uniforms that look like they were designed by a gay bullfighter, (b) and their own wing at the county jail. UT might not be spotless, or flawless, during that span...but we do own a crystal football, and we are rebuilding. Oregon has peaked. Your best QB is in Mississippi, playing for a head coach who would offer a scholarship to Osama Bin Laden if he could hit the skinny post against the Alabama pass rush.

"Fame":
Oregon is famous to Oregon fans for many reasons. No crystal football required for that.
UT is famous to UT fans for their own reasons. Reasons that fans of other programs by and large could give a rats ass about.
"rebuilding":
In order to be rebuilding, a team has to perform better than it had been. If anything, UT is the program that looks to have "peaked".
"peaked":
In order to peak, a team has to perform worse than it had been. If anything, Oregon has been improving for the last few years and according to polls, most believe they are continuing in that direction this year.
"Osama":
Points for humor.

			You might win the game. You should win the game. But consider the fact that you'll crow over a win against a UT team that is as down as it has been in 20 years. If UT wins, it's just another game against a PAC-10 also-ran. South Carolina, in puke green uniforms.

It's the opposite. Because UT is down, Oregon has nothing to gain and everything to lose in this game. If they win, everyone will say it's nothing to crow about. If they lose, everyone will say that Oregon isn't the team they thought they were this year.

			Oregons inexperience at the quarterback position is one. If the ducks are one dimensional, Wilcox and the UT defense have it a lot easier.

I can't disagree with this. QB is, imo, a big question mark for Oregon right now. Until I hear otherwise from practice reports, I'm putting them at a 50/50 chance of having QB worked out for this game.
I think this will go one of two ways:
A) If Oregon can't establish good QB play, it could be a close, low scoring game with the win going either way.
B) If Oregon can establish good QB play, Oregon will blow out UT by 20+.

			Another thing is Oregons depth at wide receiver. If the qb does play pretty well, he has one legitimate threat. And I don't even know his name. That's how bad that situation is. Although I will admit I've never kept up with Oregon like I do UT, I usually know the big time and good players for them.

You're probably thinking of Maehl. I think you might be surprised by Oregon's WRs if they have someone to get the ball to them. Not a lot of names stand out because there has been a lot of turn-over at the position for various reasons (WRs getting kicked off team, grades, etc.). Tuinei, Cantu, Davis, Williams, Paulson, Maehl and others can catch the ball.
Also, the way receivers are utilized in Kelly's offense isn't the same as the typical pro-set, downfield system. You don't need a bunch of 5-star burners that can out-jump anyone in man-coverage on fly routes. You just need a bunch of slot, possession receivers that know how to run clean short routes so that the defense has to cover more field. Oregon does have the receivers to do this. It's just a matter of having a QB that can execute and force defenders not to cheat inside.

			Another thing is the Wilcox situation. This is a hire I really like. His multiple defense he runs seems to be suited to do well versus most offenses. That was a problem last year. Tennessee was great against pro style offenses. Not so great against the spread. Enter Wilcox and hopefully that has changed. Seems to also do more with less. And this is probably the least talented defense he will have while at UT.

I agree that Wilcox is an excellent hire and will serve UT well. I just don't see him making a huge impact in the short time he will have before the Oregon game. The UT defense is going to be dealing with a lot of new core information.
