WOW!!!!
The light just came on for me. Our colors are not Orange and White. Our COLOR is ORANGE! White is used as a contrast, the same as black was used on Saturday night. I actually think our color ORANGE jumped off the black unbelievably. With time and the right design, I believe we can incorporate this into our color scheme.
I am on board and ready to roll!
Go Big ORANGE!!!!!
Hate to break this to ya, especially since I was not an alumnus, but:
"The colors Orange and White were selected by Charles Moore, a member of the first football team in 1891, and were later approved by a vote of the student body.
The colors were those of the common American daisy which grew in profusion on The Hill. Tennessee football players did not appear in the now-famous Orange jerseys until the season-opening game in 1922. Coach M.B. Banks' Vols won that game over Emory and Henry by a score of 50-0."

I have never seen more people so butthurt about something so trivial.
Does anyone here understand TRADITION????????
Texas, Penn State, Bama, USC, Navy, Army, Michigan, Ohio State(I'm sorry I ever said anything positive about that crap hole).......
Would they do the black jersey?????(Don't say Army...they are black/gold)
It is about tradition!!!!! The uni's looked good, team played well......but looked like a bunch of copy-cats. Be unique...and STICK with tradition!
To be fair, if someone from the 1920 team happened to tune in, I bet they thought it was pretty cool to go retro.Unfortunately, most younger folks are more concerned with change for change's sake, and with immediate gratification of their wishes, so tradition is just "old foggies sticking to stupid rules" to them.
