Unimaginably bad luck. Only the second time in almost 40 years that the team was even bad enough to have a shot at a high draft pick, and this happens. But, like you said, for a franchise that has historically been very well run, the Zubac trade borders on GM malpractice.Brutal for the Pacers. Absolutely brutal. I would not have traded 5 for Zubac

Ajay Mitchell is so good, only costs a few $ million, so I don't think OKC can afford to move forward with J Will when they're going to eventually run into salary cap/apron problems. Even if they aggressively shed money elsewhere this summer (Caruso, Dort, Hartenstein), they'll have problems in a couple years.
I think J Will is more likely to be traded than J Brown, and they will have a similar market. Brown is more reliable and proven, but he's also way more expensive.
Potential trade partners for either guy:
Utah
Memphis
Chicago
Brooklyn
Sacramento
Atlanta
Milwaukee
I don't think Utah would give up the #2 pick in either deal, but JJJ for Brown makes quite a bit of sense for both teams. I kinda doubt Memphis would do something like this with the #3 pick, but maybe they are desperate to start winning given how upset fans are. Anything is on the table with Chicago and Sac.
Ament interviewed on the Russillo show at the 45-minute mark. He says he seriously considered coming back.
Russillo also has a funny story about going to Barnes' basketball camp when he was a teen.

Myles is a rat finkBS and Lowe today were talking about how the market for Giannis is not going to be great compared to what's expected, and Myles Turner is already kicking him on his way out the door. If Milwaukee gets desperate, could Atlanta get the deal done with Kuminga or Dyson Daniels and #8 (plus future draft picks)? That might be their best option, and it's probably worth the trade. Bucks could take Brown #8 and Ament #10, or something like that.
