Happy Wednesday
Scripture — Gospel of John 20:29 (NIV)
“Then Jesus told him, ‘Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.’”
Reflection:
This moment comes after the resurrection. Thomas had wrestled with doubt. He had heard the reports, listened to the others, and still said he needed to see the wounds for himself.
And Jesus met him there.
Not with shame. Not with distance. With truth.
Then Jesus expands the moment beyond Thomas… all the way to us.
“Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
Most of faith is lived there.
Not after every answer.
Not after every outcome makes sense.
Not after every prayer is visibly fulfilled.
But in the space between promise and proof.
Faith is not pretending questions don’t exist. It’s choosing to trust the character of God even when the evidence hasn’t fully unfolded in front of you yet.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You that faith is not reserved for those who see everything clearly. Thank You that You bless those who trust You in the waiting, in the questions, and in the unseen places. When I want visible proof before I move, remind me of Your character. Help me build confidence not only on what I can see, but on who You have always been. Strengthen my faith in the quiet seasons, and teach me to walk with steady trust even before the answers come. Amen.
