Hey @mrMet, what’s your take on the news that Vrabel allegedly had “inside access” to a “deeply-sourced” NFL reporter during his Titan’s tenure.

Russini obtained confidential details about the 2022 draft-day trade of A.J. Brown, a pivotal and controversial moment in Vrabel's tenure.

Russini reported on the internal dynamics surrounding the sudden 2022 firing of General Manager Jon Robinson, which many saw as a victory for Vrabel in a power struggle.

In response to growing outside pressure during a 14-loss stretch late in his tenure, she reported that Vrabel was safe and that the organization remained committed to him.

After Vrabel was eventually let go in January 2024, she co-authored a “deep-dive” on the communication between Vrabel and Amy Adams.

Following Vrabel’s departure from the Titans, she defended him against critics who noted that he failed to land another head coaching job in that cycle. Drawing a contrast between herself and NFL owners, Russini claimed they were intimidated by his brusk way and large size.

When I hear Will's voice, cannot change the dial fast enough
