Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

Hey @mrMet, what’s your take on the news that Vrabel allegedly had “inside access” to a “deeply-sourced” NFL reporter during his Titan’s tenure.

Russini obtained confidential details about the 2022 draft-day trade of A.J. Brown, a pivotal and controversial moment in Vrabel's tenure.

Russini reported on the internal dynamics surrounding the sudden 2022 firing of General Manager Jon Robinson, which many saw as a victory for Vrabel in a power struggle.

In response to growing outside pressure during a 14-loss stretch late in his tenure, she reported that Vrabel was safe and that the organization remained committed to him.

After Vrabel was eventually let go in January 2024, she co-authored a “deep-dive” on the communication between Vrabel and Amy Adams.

Following Vrabel’s departure from the Titans, she defended him against critics who noted that he failed to land another head coaching job in that cycle. Drawing a contrast between herself and NFL owners, Russini claimed they were intimidated by his brusk way and large size. 🤣

Yall see the podcast talking about agents telling them that a certain SEC school looks to be delinquent on NIL? Sying they will get the money , just do not have it right now. A lot of speculation on who it might be.

I'd guess Florida or South Carolina

No experienced QB (AD & Staff choice), lot of unknowns/lack of experience at Oline (AD & Staff choice) not a lot of proven talent at WR (AD & Staff choice), thin at Dline (AD & Staff choice).......... and after last season, why would anyone pick us higher? Year 6-- picked 6-6 (AD & Staff choice)
I see this guy is still here doing his thing…

QB young
3-4 starting OL back
2 800 yard WRs back
No idea what DL will look like

And what do you mean after last season? We went 8-4 and led the league in offense with a QB that wasn’t here in spring. How does that lend itself to 6-6?

Many… it reaches a point where you say damn the money I just want to be left alone and not work all the time lol
My wife always loved those a$$holes whom, with a week left to go before April 15th, would bring in their shoebox of **** (receipts) and then get mad when an extension had to be filed.

I had someone send everything the evening of the 14th… email read I’d love to not file an extension. This is everything. I look forward to hearing from you tomorrow. I took a five minute walk outside to calm myself. lol

I don’t know what an IPA or a Funko Pop is….

Can our defense win us a game in Athens this year?
No they cannot. Nor can our offense. Or special teams. Or anyone associated with our program. The reason is simple, so simple an IPA enjoyer can understand: we do not play them this year, no not even in Athens

That five minute walk isn't so calming when it's a trip to the house of your neighbor to strangle them for doing that to you.

My wife was at work last week, she works on the top floor of a ten story building. She was standing at a window with a coworker looking out and she said this huge plane almost flew into the top of the building and pulled up at the last second. She said it was a weird looking plane and she had never seen anything like it, she thought is was crashing and was going to hit them.
Later that evening we were watching the news and they showed an A10. She screamed, "That's the plane." I told her what it was and that he was probably practicing. We live not far from Arnold Air Force Base, I imagine that is where it came from.
