It was interesting when someone asked Barnes about adding more size he pointed out that Grant Williams was 6’5 lol
Those teams were so much fun
Also, re: the Bigs vs. No Bigs debate, besides the fact that Rubin, Brown, Lue, and whoever else we bring in are no slouches on either end of the court, I don't think people fully understand how ridiculous our firepower is from our guards + small 4.
Hill: 15 PPG | 47/37/84
Ames: 17 PPG | 46/38/85
Lundblade: 16 PPG | 43/41/93 (mostly 3s)
Harris: 21 PPG | 44/33/78 (insane volume)
Haralson: 16 PPG | 52/20/67 (great FG%)
Adding the fact that Hill, our primary ball handler, doesn't turn the ball over and Harris/Haralson (especially Harris) can rebound at a high rate... we are in for a shock with what our offense looks like.
Assuming they all mesh - CRB knows what he's doing - I'm not worried lol.
Your argument is based on offense. We need rim protection. Having a big body helps. And how nice it will be to get back to being a team that hits their free throws.
The whole "we have to have a 7-footer" argument is ridiculous on its face. It's more about finding bigs who work with the current roster and scheme, not just bringing in big bodies. This is going to be an entirely different scheme from last year's plodding, hi-lo or last second iso system that was far too predictable and reliant on usually one guy if we couldn't beat teams up inside. That came back to haunt us when playing teams that could match our physicality.
Add Juke, and this group as it currently stands can compete for a championship - on paper. We'll have to see how the piece mesh, but if there aren't many better at getting teams to gel as the season progresses and peak in March than Rick Barnes. Would I like one or two more big bodies for depth? Absolutely, but I'm ready to go with what we have right now, plus Juke.
“I thought it would be better for me to get a change of scenery because I’ve been through a lot here and I need to leave.”
Just say you got paid more. Don’t act like you got treated poorly and needed to leave a toxic culture.

The rankings person must be assuming he’s going to Michigan. He’ll drop about 20 spots if he signs here.Don’t know when it was updated, but Juke Harris is now ranked #1 in the On3 portal rankings.
