Barnes has always been a very good recruiter. He is well respected. It appears the key players are helping him to get across the finish line. It would be a coup to finish with Harris, a big, and the outstanding PG. I don't think the cofers is big enough for all 3.

I'll settle for Juke and another big. Between Hill and Ames we have PG covered, and perhaps Henderson stays healthy and makes a sophomore leap.

Might be in the minority here but honestly thought Kim English’s coaching trajectory was a bit steep.
Hope he can regain his footing after some time away.

Totally agree. We have money still to get Juke and another top player.

They would have room. Paull and Campbell can come off roster if need be.

Technically we could go to 4 roster spots, so I think that last one will be taken by a walk on but opened if needed later for Ament obviously.

As for 5th year, if that does happen you’ll likely see 2 things…1. A portal windows for those guys and 2. Them not count against roster limits for this year

I really feel Lundblade is the biggest steal in the transfer portal.

Dude is an Elite Shooter whom could probably start for any Division l team.

Glad Barnes locked him down early.

I feel like Lundblade could be absolutely lethal in this offense. As we said before having him as your #1 option wouldn't be ideal. Knowing the offense we have now, he could the ace in the hole for open 3s or even contested 3s.

DK didn't shot only 3's. You didn't even know who DK was until Rick brought him to Knoxville. Just like all the kids he's bringing in this year. You dont know what they're capable of. They might be a great defender. One thing we do know us that they can score.

100% agree. Especially with Harrison and (potentially) Harris that can get to the rim at will.

Having a shooter like Lundblade on the floor really opens it up for them to work.

Yup, Ames will still get a ton of minutes as the sixth man. I'm even warming up to the idea of just focusing on Juke and another quality big, rather than bringing in another PG. Hill, Ames, Harris, Haralson... the offense can run through all of them, and I think if Henderson is healthy he can be penciled in as that backup PG on the roster as long as he continues to improve.

All to say, Lundblade starting alongside Hill and Juke is perfect to me.

Hey no hate here just wish we could have worked out the numbers with him and his agent because I would’ve loved to see him play with what we have coming in but it is what it is ….big time college basketball pays pretty well these days.

If we close out with Juke and or if Ament comes back this will be the most athletic team in UT history…and that’s saying something bc those teams with Pons, Keon Johnson, and Springer were arguably the most athletic in the country.

Yeah wish it would have worked but he doubled his pay and if we had signed him I doubt we would have gotten Harralson. Rather have Harralson.

Figured this was the case and mentioned this yesterday. We had to know that they wouldn’t go down easily, so I’m hoping we’re more prepared this year to go punch for punch in the bidding wars and not get too spooked like we did with Rice. We’ve done great in the portal assuming Hill gets over the finish line today, but we really need an elite scorer and “star” to give us a shot to break through.

I’m hopeful that the fact that we’ve already locked in most of the roster gives us the confidence to go big

I trust what they are working on. 247 has Vols as 12th overall on recruiting and 4th in transfers. 2nd overall in net additions.

I’d honestly lean Felix with our current roster iteration, but you can’t go wrong with either. Curious what everyone’s sentiment will be tho.

Estrella may have been one of the most overhyped players come through here in recent memory. People were saying this guy was a future NBA player, etc. and what I've seen is kinda mid. Doesn't have great hands, doesn't play great on defense, not great around the basket.
