2026 Vols Transfer Portal Thread

JP was occasionally brilliant, but isn't the ability to hit layups important in basketball?
Yeah, think I'm just saying that he had all the signs to have great technique, would've loved to see what he could've done with another year. End of the day, I just want a big who is a credible threat to score is all I meant.

Yes. He’s legit one of the worst defenders in the country even at the mid major level.
We will forgive him if he can knock down a few wide open threes a game unlike some of the other players that recently departed who couldn’t throw it in the ocean. I expect that Barnes will be able to coach him up some defensively.

There’s no way we’ve pitched anything. An agent may have said here’s what you can get. But, it’s not as if They’ve met with Barnes. He’s not in the portal and it sure looks like he’s not entering.

If anything they are slow playing the “no” to throw a wrench in UTs other avenues. Vandy has a lot more money than most on here want to admit. I could absolutely see them leading on our staff to keep us from getting the next best option.

I feel the exact opposite. I’m not even sure he will be playable against elite competition. Liability on defense.

Lundblade's role is going to be off the bench sniper. A solid defense like we normally have can hide a defensive liability, as we saw with Knecht, and I'd be willing to bet that Lundblade's defense improves as the season goes on.

Apologies if this has already been addressed, but was Earl Grant still being courted by other schools for an assistant coach role? Or has officially joined with with us?

More turmoil there helps if with juke even more… hopefully we still on great shape for him . Most CB has juke Tennessee still

Barnes has always been a very good recruiter. He is well respected. It appears the key players are helping him to get across the finish line. It would be a coup to finish with Harris, a big, and the outstanding PG. I don't think the cofers is big enough for all 3.
