Let's go medium O!
Watched a little bit of vid. Agree that international players that have played in the national circuit usually come in with more poise, solid fundamentals vs traditional freshmen. Also, enjoyed several things from her interview. Seems development/growth focused, dedicated, and very clear about what to expect from the program - which is a plus. Thought her commitment to her physical training regiment and being optimally ready to compete was a positive. Athletic family pedigree. Will definitely give focus and effort. Watching her kind of reminds me of like a Jessica Timmons from Alabama.
I think we will likely do well with these types of players, i.e. solid, avg to mid-tier players with a "grind" mentality. Resilient kids who give consistent effort and don't give up. Even if they aren't flashy initially, hopefully as long as they hang in there, are good teammates to each other, and stick to the plan and give max effort, they will grow into a more effective unit down the stretch. Speaking of Alabama, I enjoyed watching them play and they are a good example of what I personally think the LVs could function like under KC, at least right now, if we go into the season with a collection of system-fit role type players. While Bama is dissimilar in style, the team was gritty and tough, stuck together, played within their system and was competitive til the end every game. This allowed them to often hang right in there with some of the big dawgs of the SEC.
