Jazz didn't sign Chandler to a permanent contract after his 2nd 10-day stint, instead signing Hayden Gray. Jazz Won't Re-Sign 10-Day Standout to Another Contract
DJ was my first favorite NBA player, might have been because we were both PGs, wore green and yellow and damn, the SuperSonics was the coolest name for and 8/9 year old, when they won thatI was a fan going all the way back to the late 1970s with Gus Wiiliams, DJ, Sikma, Marvin Webster, etc. Dale Ellis had some great years there too later on
DJ was predominantly the 2 guard in Seattle, I think. He and Gus were somewhat interchangable in those roles. As they predominant PG in Boston, he was also interchangeable with Danny Ainge to a much lesser extent. Regardless, he was a great leader on the floorDJ was my first favorite NBA player, might have been because we were both PGs, wore green and yellow and damn, the SuperSonics was the coolest name for and 8/9 year old, when they won that. DJ is top 100 NBA player of all-time, imo
So kindof random but I was a closet Sonics fan as I liked their unis, Detlef and dunks by Chambers and Kemp. (Chambers dunk highlight reel is crazy). 2nd favorite team behind the 76ers. Son was invited to try out for a travel lacrosse program started 3 years ago by Kyle Harrison, mentioned along with Jim Brown as one of the best overall and black lacrosse players ever. Name of the team was the Sonics with the same colors. I don’t know if he bought the logo and naming rights or what but I would wear my green Sonics lacrosse hoodie from time to time and of course people didn’t know it was lacrosse and always had comments as you didnt see much Sonics stuff back then in the SE, much less recently. I think everybody kinda liked the Sonics back then for whatever reason. Never met a hater.DJ was my first favorite NBA player, might have been because we were both PGs, wore green and yellow and damn, the SuperSonics was the coolest name for and 8/9 year old, when they won that. Maybe I'm not reading the room correctly, but I feel Tobias is underappreciated by our fanbase on the whole. He was a great student athlete, had a really good season with us, got drafted in the 1st round, and is at least arguably the Vol with the best NBA career overall. I've always pulled for him in his journeyman-type career; too bad his teams flame out early in the playoffs when they make it. Detroit are up 2-0 in the second round, so maybe Tobias can finally get to conference finals. Dude deserves it imo.Tobias Harris having a really nice game for the Pistons. Currently their leading scorer.
Best career overall? Not comparable, IMO, to King. Even Houston was a main factor for the Knicks getting to the finals in '99. I could argue it hasn't been better than Dale's career. I certainly don't want to diminish Harris in any manner. It's nice to see him playing well right now. He's certainly had a nice run in the league and made a ton of moneyMaybe I'm not reading the room correctly, but I feel Tobias is underappreciated by our fanbase on the whole. He played one year. The team was 19-15 with a 30 point blowout loss in the first round of NCAAT. He had no memorable or game changing moments. It's understandable that there is no real bond with the Tennessee fans.Maybe I'm not reading the room correctly, but I feel Tobias is underappreciated by our fanbase on the whole. It seems to me his year was overshadowed by Pearls flameout correct me if I’m wrong.I always liked him as a Vol but Pearl was the headliner that year in a bad way.He played one year.
