Laravia and Kennard basically have taken all the minutes DK would have played. Its had to argue... if youre pushing for the playoffs like the Lakers obviously are.. who do you play those minutes? Bronny and DK are not competing for minutes.... DK competes for the minutes those 2 play. Bronny is also shooting 36% from 3, while DK is shooting 30. Facts suck but right now when on the court Bronny is playing better than DK. DK needs ot get traded to a team where he can play... he does not fit the timeline of the Lakers right now.Dang. DK got four minutes last night. Bronny got 26 minutes. Of course he was crappy as usual, but 26 minutes?
Yeah Bronnys 38% fg has earned that pt for sure.Laravia and Kennard basically have taken all the minutes DK would have played. He has played better than DK recently ....but nice try. Bronny (defensive, no shooter, point gaurd) is shooting better from 3 than DK. Thats a fact. So using him is kinda dumb. They don't play the same position, are not competing for PT and in the opportunities that DK has had thus far this season he hasnt done anything to earn more. I have no interest in Bronny. He will probably go on to be a perfectly meh NBA journeyman in my eyes. Folks on both sides spend too much time on him. he is neither the next coming or a scrub. But, DK has played significantly more games and average minutes than Bronny this season.Yeah Bronnys 38% fg has earned that pt for sure.
I agree with most of this.Bronny shooting 13-36 from 3 and 17-43 from 2 is weak.Bronny is in the league and getting playing time for one reason. He is decent on d but tell me the last player that's averaged 4.8 points in college and got drafted on 36% fg shooting lol.One thing everyone can agree on DK needs a fresh start ASAP but think I read his money is guaranteed next year so don't look like he is going anywhere unless they cut him and eat the money. He has played better than DK recently ....but nice try. Fact is this since the aborted Charlotte trade DK hasn't played all that great. Part of it is lack of opportunities but in the ones he's gotten he obviously didnt convince JJ and since they got Kennard he has shuffled between the G-league and DNP's. I do not know what to think. JJ is like literally the best person to teach him his role in the NBA because he was literally what DK should be on this Lakers team in his NBA career. But facts are fact Luke Kennard is a developed proven version of what DK was supposed to be by now. The Lakers are currently a 3 seed and are getting ready for the playoffs. DK has at least 5 people not named Bronny in front of him for minutes (Laravia, Kennard, Vando, Smart, Rui) Throw in Lebron Luka, Reeves, Hayes and Ayton thats your playoff rotation.
The first part confuses me, having watched him play (big Lakers fan), the second part makes sense. Maybe that was the impetus for the Kennard trade. IF you look at the Lakers roster anyone not named Lebron, Luka and LemonDaddy has to be a 2 way player. Kennard is not a guy that plays great defense but he puts in the effort. My understanding is that DK became frustrating for the staff because he struggled to understand and execute their offensive playbook, and their defensive rotations.
Some players have trouble with vices but it could not even be that. We’ve seen players get caught up in addiction problems from pain medication after medical treatment, or he could be trying to work through depression or other psychological challenges. I don’t know any details about his life, just that he’s playing below the abilities we saw at Tennessee, without any real explanation.Hope that’s not the case but NBA players face a lot of temptations
