2026 Vols Transfer Portal Thread

ESPN published its Top 40 list today and had Lundblade at #39. I was pretty happy to see that. If can get two more from this list, which I'm honestly not expecting, we'll be in phenomenal shape.

Lundblade is at #21 in the athletic's current portal rankings (behind a paywall)

Yeah, they've got Estrella at #23 and Khamenia at #25. I thought that was interesting since Khamenia was just a five-star. This past season's dominant bigs have led to a market correction (overreaction?) to players with legit center size.

I have zero clue if he's on our radar...if any of Barnes' people are here lurking though...

Isaac Celiscar 6'6" 210lb SO from Yale he's played 61 games already and is exactly what we're losing in Bishop/Evans. A do it all type

13.2ppg, 6.3rpg, 3.2apg, 0.7spg shot 57.3% FG, 40.7% 3PT and 79.8% FT dude has a high motor and IQ perfect "glue" guy
This sounds alot like the (name escapes me at moment but player that we got from Harvard as grad transfer that is younger brother of a former Lady Vol). That guy could hardly get on court for us besides like 2 decent games.

They aren’t going to sit around waiting forever on him
What I’d love to know is whether there has been communication and then his side went quiet or whether it’s all on Tennessee’s side, pursuing but getting no interest in return. Kind of like my high school crush.

I think you’re combining two players, EJ Anosike was Nicky’s brother and transferred from Sacred Heart, whereas Chris Ledlum transferred from Harvard but then transferred out again to St John’s before he ever played for us. So, believe you’re thinking of Anosike.

Not even close to the same player as EJ Anosike who was at Sacred Heart not Harvard.

Comparing an undersized heavy, below the rim big like EJ to an athletic high motor wing player is wild. But the two came from completely different levels of basketball too.

Yale is in a top 15-18 conference, Sacred Heart bottom 3

Celiscar at Yale put up 17 points on 75% FG against Bama this year, 23 points on Akron shooting 89% FG, then in the NIT scored 23 points on 61.5% FG and grabbed 12 rebounds

Apples to Oranges my friend.

I will be the first to admit that I don’t have the Vol basketball connections I once had. However, I’ve heard nothing from Knoxville or Nashville, that says that TT is coming here. Where is everyone hearing this from?

I do know that TT didn’t get a first round grade in his evaluation from a few sources. Lots of factors shape this though. I believe he has late first rd ability.
You deserve an answer so I will give you one. I don’t know.

Not sure why anyone is saying “now that the Tanner dream is dying”. Nothing has changed there. We’re in his ear, he likes us, loves Barnes, UT was his first choice out of BA, we have $, but he’s still going through the combine and will make a decision after that. As of now

So like a month away. I’m not sure we can really afford to wait that long to nail down the PG position. Seems like a huge risk.

Might be missing something, but I still can't fathom waiting til May for a decision. There might be some teams with a solid PG they're comfortable with who would wait on Tanner, but I don't see us having that luxury.

This doesn't make any sense. The timeline doesn't work.

1. The SOS is a major differentiator here
2. Considering they're both 35%+ FT rate guys, the 10-15% difference in FT% is a big deal.

I don't hate Rubin. I'd love to have him as a backup big, but he's a clear tier or two below someone like Okpara/Hines to me.
I don’t think they’re looking at him to be “the guy”, at least IMO
