Between that and @gymmlover 's analysis, the reality is KC's system requires a lot of depth, so she basically needs to replace half the team every year. Maybe it works if she stays at Marshall, maybe it works at Tennessee 5-10 years ago, but in the SEC in the portal/NIL era, she has to stick the landing every single year.

Lady Vol basketball topic I know, but you fans see the exact same from DW with this hire, that I see with the baseball hire. Nothing but football and its ability to raise money. White doesn’t care about any other sport. When Barnes leaves, it will be the same for men’s basketball. He totally whiffed at the baseball hire. Not even a search.

DW should already have a coach-in-waiting if he's smart. The shoe dropped when CK didn't support her players resulting in the extended losing streak littered with blowout loses. The other shoe will drop when the mega-boosters tell DW it's over. The writing's on the wall, doubt she's back next year.

Different types of searches. Elander was the right choice. Time will tell if he is to Vitello as Holly Warlick was to Pat.

Also, sickening as it is to say, the assessment may be that the damage is already so bad it cant get much worse. As one particularly callous ICU doc used to say to us when calling a code , she's not going to get any deader. Caldwell has already sped through every neg barrier, Maybe next year we eat the dirt while doing a thorough search and hiring an actual coach.

she didm't walk into the BEST SITUATION either.....national championship 4 years ago in div 2 ...i mean ****,...eliminate the whole program and get it the **** over with......

She walked into a situation that was light years ahead of where she's taken the program in just two years. What part of every negative record is hard to understand?

And frankly I'm so tired of hearing about the championship in the minor leagues I could scream. Whoop dee Doo that's great. But obviously has zero relation to being successful at this level.

This ⬆️ You know you’ve hit rock bottom as a proud program when fans can’t objectively look at what happened this year (on and off the court) and say that it hasn’t set our program back years.

This LV basketball program is bleeding profusely, and the very public bleeding must be stopped, it can’t be allowed to continue for another year. Especially after the most recent comments from KC, there is no reason for anyone to place their confidence in her to fix what she has caused. At the least, a new, experienced and successful Coach will bring hope and excitement back to the LV basketball program, something we don’t have now, but desperately need.

The majority of baseball fans backed the Elander hire. Me? I wanted Schnall. I am sure some others did as well.

I don’t trust Danny White to have a great plan for a replacement if he fires KC now. He better use the next year to develop a bullet proof one.
