All these players saying it isn’t true strikes me like the video of Sara Strong ripping her own jersey. Sometimes you just get caught.

People continuing to diss and disbelieve ALL players is just gobsmacking.

You’d think there would be moratorium on any talk from the AD unless this is what they were trying to accomplish. It’s backfiring if it is.

From a PR standpoint, he needs to say something like:

“This season fell short of the expectations we all had, including Coach Caldwell. We remain fully confident in her leadership and committed to the vision of building a program that competes for—and wins—championships.”

From a PR standpoint that may sound professional and appropriate.

From a fan standpoint it sounds like just more of the usual content-free verborrhea
that slick PR dudes say when they don’t want to share anything of real substance.
When I hear that sort of thing, my mind switches to auto-translate mode and I hear “Blah blah blah blah blah…”

I am ancient and a bit skeptical, having heard that kind of pablum often enough just prior to someone getting sacked.

I want Caldwell gone. I don’t care who coach is. She is arrogant and has done worst coaching job of any program in recent memory. If she was likeable she would have earned more grace.

My impression is that Kim has run a very tight program as far as leaks. The radio guy seems to have been told things by "some people" in the AD's office. I'm not getting any indication it was "planted."

And now we’ve heard from more than half dozen who were IN the program that its not true. So there we are.

Obviously everyone needs to STFU about the past and get on to the Herculean task of finding a team.

As always, theres probably kernels of truth on all sides. I believe the radio story is about Gabe not Roman. I believe Gabe has a big personality and ego that attracts recruits but also overwhelms some, apparently like Kim Caldwell.

I believe the players gravitated toward and liked Gabe and Roman way more than Kim and Jenna. I believe everyone but the Glenville Gang hated that m effing system and knew it wouldnt work by Christmas.

And from there it all unraveled. AD says Gabe and Roman tore it apart, the players say they were the ones trying to keep it together.

Then everyone left, including the ones that havent even gotten here yet. Except the person in charge of the whole mess and her damn system that started it all.
