Iran

I don't buy "Israel has the goods" I think that's a cop out, I think they have technology and are partners with said technology.

yeah, they don't have the goods, which is why only one person that has seriously faced prosecution involving Epstein and she really wasn't involved for the last 12+ years before epstein got gone -- I'm sure this was just one guy managing all this with his 50 phone lines.

Wars shouldn't be fought for ideological reasons. Afghanistan should have taught us that. It's not possible to change minds with a gun. Acquiring necessary resources that can't otherwise be bought is the only valid use of military force.
And here I thought self defense was a valid use of military force...

Last year after we bombed Iran Donald Trump claimed that we had "obliterated" their nuclear capability. Remember that?

What Trump Said

  • In a national address after U.S. airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear sites (including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan), Trump said that Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities were “completely and totally obliterated.”
  • He also posted on social media asserting that the strikes destroyed Iran’s nuclear program and its ability to build nuclear weapons.
Someone help me understand why we're even talking about attacking them at this point.

So... you believed him then? I think you need to let us know which things Trump says are lies and which ones you believe so we can keep up. I was firmly convinced that you believe everything he says is a lie.

The same reason why the U.S. has been bombing people for 30+ years, of course, they would have the added bonus of distraction at this point as well.

The government is clearly compromised.

What are your thoughts here?
I certainly think the world would be a better place without the Islamic republic. I feel bad for Iranians there currently and ones that fled, it would be terrible living under an oppressive regime. But I think they pose little danger to the US they’re a paper tiger

I’m a non-interventionist, the comment about within 6 months we could see a different government in Iran, Cuba and Venezuela is concerning

Generally agree, but if you were an American politician and said that, Saudi would have to attack Israel and bring this to an end.

I would suggest going and living in the middle east for a bit.

Nobody cares about the Iranians anymore than they care about the Saudis, or the Iraqis or the Afgans, etc.

I don’t think they actually care and the protesters are not main reason for military action. Simply a tool to use

Riddle me this saber rattlers...

What happens when Iran builds its nuclear facilities so deep that we can't reach them with our bunker busters? You ready to send your children and grandchildren to die in Iran? Or maybe we just nuke 'em? That'll learn 'em!

'Murica First!!! No new endless wars!!!

You keep asking that and it’s still not a thing. You can always attack the entrance

I don’t think we are trying to change anyone’s minds here. Just their regime

We have a terrible track record with regime change

There’s solid examples of regime change. Iran was one of those examples for decades

Yeah, when I think of good guys its the ones that are involved in war 6,000 miles away from home, regime change, piracy, kidnapping, puppet governments in the name of democracy and of course pedophilia.

"freedom!!!!!"

(just rinse and repeat this song like every year, new country, same thing)
