How does this guy affect the USA? What crimes did he really commit?
ask Biden, he had a 25 million dollar bounty on maduro

AI Overview

Yes, the Biden administration increased a reward for Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro to $25 million in January 2025, building on a previous $15 million bounty set by the Trump administration, for information leading to his arrest on narco-terrorism charges related to drug trafficking into the U.S.. This reward was later increased to $50 million in August 2025, making Maduro the first target in the Narcotics Rewards Program with over $25 million offered.
Key Details:
  • Initial Bounty (2020): The U.S. first offered $15 million for Maduro's arrest on charges of narco-terrorism and drug trafficking.
  • Increase to $25M (Jan 2025): The Biden administration raised the reward to $25 million as Maduro began a new term, coinciding with new sanctions.
  • Increase to $50M (Aug 2025): The reward was further increased to $50 million after the Treasury sanctioned the "Cartel of the Suns".
  • Charges: Maduro is accused of leading a drug trafficking network, using foreign terrorist organizations, and flooding the U.S. with cocaine.
  • Maduro's Response: Maduro denies these charges, calling them politically motivated

Maduro could make NY federal court appearance as soon as Monday, Fox News learns

Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro could make an initial appearance in federal court in Manhattan as soon as this coming Monday, Fox News is told.
The timing could change at this stage, but his appearance will happen "likely Monday," Fox News learned.

I don't care about Biden since he's not in the WH now

Why does it list cocaine when we're being told fentanyl (or were for a while to justify this move)? Trump just postponed a huge drug trafficker so surely there's more to it. Or own CIA does it and I can't remember too many being out in prison for that.

Drugs are just the excuse to be used when they want someone give. The WoD is failed

Update- You're 100% correct; cocaine and weed.. The information I received was completely misleading.
Weed is legal in 40 states and Trump just pardoned a big cocaine guy. We sure those are the reasons?

I'm not a fan of weed and I'm too worried I would love cocaine so I'm fine with us shutting that down
I did call out Trump on the pardon as well; but I have no knowledge of the case. Here's what google says.

Trump's Stated Reasons
  • Claim of Unfair Treatment: In a post on Truth Social, Trump stated that Hernández was "treated very harshly and unfairly" by prosecutors, based on the opinions of "many people that I greatly respect".
  • "Biden Setup" Allegation: Trump and his White House press secretary argued the case was a "clear Biden overprosecution" and a "political persecution" to harm the right-leaning National Party in the upcoming Honduran election.
  • Lobbying Efforts: Longtime Trump advisor Roger Stone and others lobbied for the pardon, suggesting it would help the National Party candidate, Tito Asfura, in the Honduran election. Hernández himself also sent a letter to Trump in October, echoing the "political persecution" claims and referencing their past working relationship.
Context of the Case and Criticisms
  • Conviction for Major Drug Trafficking: Hernández was convicted in a U.S. court of conspiring to import more than 400 tons of cocaine into the U.S. and was sentenced to 45 years in prison. Prosecutors presented evidence that he used his presidential power to protect drug traffickers in exchange for millions in bribes.
  • Contradiction with Anti-Drug Stance: The pardon drew significant criticism because it seemingly contradicted Trump's tough rhetoric on drug dealers and efforts to stop the flow of drugs into the U.S..
  • Political Motivation Accusations: Critics, including U.S. Senator Tim Kaine, suggested the pardon was likely politically motivated or a result of personal benefit within Trump's circle, rather than a genuine re-evaluation of justice. Experts have noted the prosecution was an independent Justice Department investigation that began before the Biden administration.

so Maduro is a completely innocent person and Biden was wrong to put a bounty on him

Again, where has he caused such injury to this country that would require the US military to go after him?
according to Biden, Maduro is accused of leading a drug trafficking network, using foreign terrorist organizations, and flooding the U.S. with cocaine therefore put a bounty on him

You keep repeating Biden as if it means anything. What Trump claimed is more important since it was on his watch. Is this just about weed and cocaine? Trump pardons come guys if they pay him off. Maybe that's the issue - no cut to the orange guy?

What if Iran came into the US and executed their death warrant on Trump?

There would be issues with Iran coming in and trying to kill the duly elected president of the USA.

Conveniently, that scenario isn’t what happened with Maduro / Venezuela

These apple to oranges dumbass hypotheticals always make me laugh.
