2025/26 Transfer Portal Thread

We are not starting GMac or Brandon next season.

I've said for a while, Leavitt would be a great get if we can pay him enough, but some have already speculated him to LSU or Oregon. Depends on how much money we are prepared to spend. This is of course if Joey cannot return.

We have the money... whether we spend it or not, is how DW and CJH feel about how many L's they can afford to take with a lesser QB before the fans have had enough in year 6...

New defensive hires, portal action/gets on Defense, and the QB search--- it's about to get pretty interesting...

Except you actually did when you reported the post for racism. I was simply trying to help you so there was no further confusion
I had to look at the posts a few times to even figure out what the problem was. That's how far I was from even thinking of how that term could be taken the wrong way, when I read it.

I think we are in a challenging position because I think Heup and the staff would like to just have Joey come back, but we don't know if he will be able to. However, we have to get a QB lined up in the portal now in case he can't.

Part of me thinks they should just put the chips down on a transfer QB now and just let Joey "retire" and avoid the risk of him being forced to retire and having no QB in place, but thats just me.

I would not bet on him being back. And honestly, I don’t think we can be better than 8/9 wins with him. He has too many huge turnovers and he’s not consistent enough to win 10-11 games with.

You could have said that about Joey too before this season.
And those that did say that were wrong lol That narrative was based off his game against Clemson where his team was completely outmatched.

Otherwise, he had plenty of good games against good teams, like at UNC and Drake Maye in his first road start and when he upset 10-0 JMU on the road.

Recruited him hard out of HS but hasn’t done anything in two years at FSU.

He committed to FSU while I www camping with my sons and I was really disappointed until I remembered I was camping and went back to having fun.

Edit: I was wrong. He committed to LSU while I was camping then flipped to FSU at the end

Have seen stuff on Twitter about Sorsby and Texas Tech/Indiana

Not much mentioning UT besides our fans

Hard to see him ending up here

Exactly! I've said the same thing. Zero chance either start next season.
