Just to be clear... Notre Dame played 6 ACC teams, went 5-1... they arguably should've been in the ACC title game against Virginia.

So the SOS argument doesn't hold much water when looking at Miami or ND. Really does seem like that one just came down to the head to head.

Notre Dame is basically in the ACC for football only. Been that way for a few years now. Not sure what the committee was looking at when you consider they lost their first 2 games, by a total of 3 or 4 points and then ran the table.
I just think the SEC used their strong arm to get 5 SEC teams in the champion.

I think Walters aggressive scheme also aligns with what Heupel wants to do.

His philosophy emphasizes creating pressure, being aggressive, and using a mix of man and zone coverages, often featuring Cover 1 (man-to-man with one deep safety) and more recently, a greater use of Cover 3. The goal is to create "organized chaos" by not being predictable and consistently creating favorable one-on-one matchups for his players.

It's pretty unpredictable for an offense to go against. It does require good safety play because he runs different exotic blitzes too.
